Never too late

As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me.She was my so-called 'best friend'. I
stared at her long, silky hair. I wished she were mine, but she didn't notice me like that. And I knew it.

After class she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before, and I handed them to her.She said 'thanks' and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her. I wanted her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her, but I'm just too shy. And I
don't know why.

11th Grade...

The phone rang. It was her on the other end. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart.

She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After 2 hours, a Drew Barrymore movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep. She looked at me,said 'thanks,' and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her. I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her, but I'm just too shy.And I don't know why.

12th Grade...

The day before prom she walked to my locker. 'My date is sick,' she said. He's not going to go. Well, I didn't have a date and in 7th grade we made a promise that if neither of us had dates we would go together just as 'best friends,' so we did.

Prom night, after everything was over,I was standing at her front door step. I stared at her. She smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes. I want her to be mine, but she doesn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said, 'I had the best time, thanks!' and gave me a
kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her. I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her, but I'm just too shy. And I don't know why...

Graduation Day...

A day passed. A week passed. A month passed. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and she cried as I hugged her. Then, she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, 'You're my best friend, thanks!' and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her. I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her, but I'm just too shy. And I don't know why...

A Few Years Later...

Now, I sit in the pews of the church. She is getting married, now. I watched her say, 'I do' and drive off to her new life, married to another man. I wanted her to be mine but she didn't see me like that, and I knew it. But before she drove away, she came to me and said, 'You came!' She said, 'thanks!' and kissed me on the cheek.I want to tell her. I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her, but I'm just too shy. And I don't know why...

Funeral...

Years pass, and I looked down at the coffin of the girl who used to be my best friend.' At the service they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read: I stare at him wishing he were mine. But he doesn't notice me like that, and I know it. I want to tell him. I want him to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love him, but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me...i wish I did too...i thought to myself, and I cried.

------------------------

NOTE: Well, I think I kinda have this situation before.. I understand how that guy feel.. Just because some times we scared to face the truth.. we scared that we might not be friend anymore or not as good as that anymore.. so prefer to stay the same..

I think this is life.. if he/she's yours, then he/she's yours.. no doubt about it.. it's all destined..

Helpful Scholarship Tip - MUST READ

Tip #1 - ATTENTION TO DEADLINES
Try and have your application arrive EARLY as possible, absolutely not after the deadline date! Send applications with a “return receipt requested” or “registered” to make sure they get there. This also conveys a positive characteristic about the sender.

Tip #2 - START YOUR APPLICATION WITH A “THANK YOU” COVER LETTER

Sample Cover Letter:
YOUR NAME
Address
City, State, Zip Code
Telephone number and Email address

Name of person
Title
Name of organisation
Address
City, State, Zip Code

Dear (insert name):

This letter is an introduction of myself, (your name), and my desire to participate in the (whatever it is called) Scholarship Programme. I have been accepted to (Name of your College) for the 2008 academic year.

I would like to thank you and the (whatever) Scholarship Committee for supporting college students with an opportunity for financial assistance through your scholarship programme. Enclosed you will find my application form, academic transcript, letters of recommendation, and other pertinent information.

Again, thank you for your attention to all these matters and for your consideration of my application. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Your name

Tip #3 - ANSWER THE “MAIL”
While this seems obvious, you must construct your application to make it EASY for the committee to see that you have provided everything that was required. Provide items in the order that they are listed in the application. You can add extra items that were not requested to give your application that something extra. However, DO NOT add extra items if you are specifically told not to add anything extra. This means that you are not follow instructions if you add items when your are forbidden to do so.

Tip #4 - ADD EXTRA ITEMS TO YOUR APPLICATION (if not forbidden).
This is where you get to be creative to find ways and things that present you in a positive light to the selection committee. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

1. Write a short essay on MY EDUCATION/CAREER GOALS. Try to keep to one page.
2. If you have any documentation congratulating you on being in the top 10% of your class, include it because it puts you in a “positive light” and your hard work at your academics was recognized.
3. One of the best extra items is a letter of acceptance for admission to “any” college. If the scholarship application is not for a specific college, you will be able to use the award at “any” college. Later you can get more college acceptance letters and when your make your selection you can notify the scholarship award committee of where to send the award. Therefore, any letter of acceptance shows that your are serious but it does not “lock” you into using the award at that college.

Limit your extras to three or four at the most. Again, MAKE SURE you are not forbidden to add extra items before you do so.

Tip #5 - PERSONALIZE LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
This is a tip that conveys you took the time to make this application special. When you have a letter of recommendation addressed to the specific organisation or person that is administering the application process it says that you took the time and effort to make this letter “Special” for them. If all you have is a letter that starts “To Whom It May Concern”, it is better than nothing. But if you can personalize the letter it says you cared to send the very best.

TIP #6 - PROOF READ ALL MATERIALS. NEATNESS IS A MUST.
When you write anything you must use correct grammar and spelling. If you have a problem in this area ask your English teacher to help you with proofreading your essay, cover letter, extra items you have included, and even letters of recommendation prepared by others. When there are hundreds or thousands of applications to review, correctness and neatness become the first screen out factor.

TIP # 7 - SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION IN A CLEAR PLASTIC FOLDER
Now that your application is complete, the final “presentation” tip is to place all of your items in a clear plastic folder, with a slide locking binder. The cheap clear ones are good so that your “Thank You Cover Letter” (Tip #2) is on top. For that final “touch” include a wallet size picture of you in the lower left side of your packet. The next item/s in you application packet are those required in the application (Tip #3 Answer the mail). Next, any extra items (if not forbidden) and finally any letter(s) of recommendations. Your application packet is a great looking presentation of YOU, don’t mess it up by folding it to fit a small envelope. Consider sending it “Return Receipt Requested” so you know it arrived!

Frenzy Mountain - The Promise

“How are you, Patrick?” asked Joseph. “We rushed here immediately soon after your mother told us that you are terribly sick!”

“I don’t know what happened to me. I suddenly blacked out right after I told my mum what happen back then during last month’s mountain climbing,” replied Patrick. “Perhaps what the pixie said was right.”

“What?! You told your mum what happened at Frenzy Mountain? What did she said?” asked Peter anxiously while closing the room’s door.

Patrick explained to them that his mother didn’t believe any single word from him. His mother thought that it’s just one of his fantasies which he created normally. Patrick got a lot of fantasies all the time and that explained why his mother won’t believe what he said. Three of them settled down for a few minutes to think for a solution.

Patrick’s body got weaker and weaker when time went by. Joseph was very concerned about Patrick’s health and asked him to lie down on the bed to rest. After thinking calmly, Joseph came into a conclusion. “Well, if we don’t do anything about this, Patrick’s life might be in danger. Maybe this is what the pixie meant by the bad luck we’ll get if we tell someone about the incidence,” said Joseph with a solution. “Where is the yellow crystal that you’d kept? Perhaps we could activate the warp portal once again and seek for pixie’s help.”

Patrick pointed at his drawer next to his bed and Joseph went to take it. Joseph were terrified when he see the crystal ball’s colour faded out. Perhaps the crystal balls indicate the health of each of them. As Patrick was getting weaker, the crystal ball’s faded tremendously too. Joseph decided to help Patrick to recover to his normal health and asked Peter to join him too.

Joseph insisted Patrick to rest on the bed while he and Peter go to Frenzy Mountain to find that pixie for solution. Both Joseph and Peter lied to their parents that they’ll be fishing early next morning somewhere around Frenzy Mountain as an excuse to go there. They got readied for their food supplies, clothes and their crystal balls.

Both of them departed early that morning without hesitation. Upon reaching there, they rushed to the waterfall and tried to activate the warp using their crystal balls. It worked exactly like what they had planned. They jumped into the warp point without thinking of the consequences.

“Welcome back! It’s a surprise to see both of you again,” greeted gracefully the pixie. “Where is Patrick? Why didn’t he come together with both of you?”

Joseph explained everything to the pixie regretfully about Patrick incident and asked for help and mercy. However, pixie rejected their request and tried to fly away.

“Hold up! We’ll do anything that we could to save Patrick. We promise to follow what you say to help him!” halted Joseph. The pixie flew back and explained them the difficulties and risk to take in order to help Patrick. Joseph and Peter agreed to help Patrick by staking their own life without hesitation.

“Now, you all will have to gather me few items in order to save Patrick,” said the pixie while handing over the item list to Joseph. “All of the items listed can be found in the Forbidden Mansion, however, the Forbidden Mansion are said to be haunted and ruled by an unknown creature.”

Peter was trembled when he heard of the word “haunted” and tried to retreat from the task. After calming down Peter, Joseph patted Peter’s back and promised him that everything will be alright as he was not alone in this task.

“Now, I’ll warp both of you to the Mansion’s entrance only as my power is limited. This magical box can come in handy when both of you are in danger. However, only open it when you really need help,” said the pixie while giving Peter the magical box.

The pixie then activated the portal, and both Joseph and Peter held hand in hand and jump into the portal after expressing their gratitude to the pixie.

Two road diverged..

Often, we have dilemma in making choice.. But do you know that making the right choices could affect one's life? Though your choice might just contribute a little, but it may meant a lot for the others..

Below is a touching story which we should take it as an advice to us.. and making the right choices indeed is very important to everyone.. That include your career, studies, "wife/husband"..

And the story sounds like this..

At a fund raising dinner for a school that serves learning-disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: 'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?'

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. 'I believe, that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'

Then he told the following story:

Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning.'

Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt. His Father watched with a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first! Run to first!' Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!' Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball ... the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.

All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay'

Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third! Shay, run to third!'

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!' Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team.

'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.

Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his father so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

Bad Wish

The story below teaches us to be careful with what we wish. You might get what you want but you might wish that you did not wish for it.

A woman goes to Italy to attend a 2-week, company training session.

Her husband drives her to the airport and wishes her to have a good trip.

The wife answers : "Thank you honey, what would you like me to bring for you?"

The husband laughs and says: "An Italian girl !!!"

The woman kept quiet and left.

Two weeks later he picks her up in the airport and asks: "So, honey, how was the trip?"

"Very good, thank you."

"And, what happened to my present?"

" Which present?" She asked.

"The one I asked for - an Italian girl!!"

"Oh, that" she said "Well, I did what I could, now we have to wait for nine months to see if it is a girl !!!" Read more...

Late Posting

Well.. I know I have not been posting lately.. I felt sorry for those who always came in and check for the latest post..

It has been almost a month since my last posting.. I was too busy with my studies, assignment and entertainment.. I came back to Kuching for Raya holidays after living in Cyberjaya for almost two months.. If you would like to know how's life in Lim Kok Wing.. I'll say "LAZY"..

The reason why I mentioned it's a lazy life is because students in Lim Kok Wing really are influencing.. Imagine assignment given to you a month ago and you only do it two days before the due date.. It's terrible right? However, I had to push myself and stay conscious that I went to Lim Kok Wing to study not to play.. And my consciousness enabled me to maintain my result and performance..

Well.. that's life in Lim Kok Wing..

Let's talk about my holiday in Kuching.. As everyone is going back to Kampung for Raya and so do I.. I did different thing for my Raya.. The first day of Raya, I arrived Kuching and did a celebration for my one-month old nephew.. Aw.. he is so adorable.. Look at him!

My second sister's son (1month old)

Well.. after looking at him makes me think.. am I this old already?! Oh my god! I am an uncle of a niece and two nephews already.. I shouldn't be fooling around anymore.. I am not young anymore.. There are things that I should do..

My eldest sister's son (1month++ old)

But what's the thing?! I guess I should study well and have a bright future ahead me.. but again.. we can't predict what will happen to us next..

What happen next was I went to Damai together with my family and relatives on the second and third day of Raya.. It was fun, extreme and PAIN! For the first time in my life, I got stung by the jellyfish.. I guess it's just a small one as I only got the small lashes on my hand.. However, it did not stop me from enjoying the fun.. I continued made a sand castle and played in the sea water.. It felt a bit hot and pain at times only..

Well, I do believe in coincidence and fate stuff.. I get to meet Mr Tan, my high school's prefectorial board teacher.. He is still the same.. Nothing changed much.. I guess we are the only one who keep changing as we grow up and changes differ in time...

Anyway.. those are the fun time I had.. Ofcourse I also visited Pn Sharifah, my high school's teacher on the 3rd day too.. The best part was meeting up with my friends and chit chat with my friends and teacher.. It had been long since my last "crazy" chat with my friends..

Well, the rest of the day was not anything really special.. It's just watching movie with my friends and hi-tea together.. Not to forget my girl friend.. Aw.. I miss her so so much.. I was glad I had time to meet her up during this short holiday..

Anyway.. That's how the holiday is.. I am going back to Cyberjaya to study again.. STUDY!!!

By the way, Semester ends at 23rd November.. So we'll see Harry back in action..

Keep it up, DAVE!

Well, after working in KL for quite some times, I met this guy.. DAVE... Well, there were only both of us who are from Kuching in that company. I can tell that if without him, I might be bored like hell 'cause most of the people speak in Cantonese or English. As for Dave and Jacky (another colleague), we all communicated using Mandarin and that brought us closer to each other. Furthermore, Dave speaks and understands Hokkien also and this enabled both of us communicate without barriers.

I am extremely happy that he had his dream came true. He told me he wished his album and singing stuff will go smoothly. Well, he is a tough guy. Since small, he is exposed to world without stranger where he studied and worked at his own place. He sang, he hosted and he studied. He is a very hardworking guy. I guess you can't just be successful in a click.. You had to be hardworking and set a goal for yourself.

This is why I think that it's not wrong to dream. Even though it might be impossible, but who knows some days, the impossible will be nothing to you.

What I should say is we should never "give up" in anything we do or did. We might faced few failures at first, but treat that as advices and ingredient to be success.

For more information about Dave aka Pei Jie, you may visit his friendster and blog. Add him as your friend and be a supporter to him. He had got his first single out in town for grab. Buy his single and listen to it. I swear it's really nice. Get it while stock last. It's hot! Read more...

Hang Tuah is a Chinese?!

This is an interesting article I got from my mail. It caught my attention as Hang Tuah appearance in History book nowadays seemed vanished (it did right? I cant remember my history, it seemed like I gave most of it back to my ex-school :x ) Well, I knew I heard about Hang Tuah somewhere, it is from the Malay literature but not about the history.

It seemed this articles convinced me a bit about the history. Yes, Malaysian history covered a lot of facts which we still don't know but there were actually facts and figures there already.

Below are what I got from the forwarded mail:

Way back in 1987, a Malay (from the old school) told me of his suspicion that Hang Tuah was Chinese.Notice that Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat and Hang Lekiu carry the same surname, Hang?Malays don't have surnames. Hang Tuah is the eldest so 'tuah' which means big or elder in some Chinese dialects, e.g. Hokkien. Further, Hang Tuah brought a Chinese princess to marry the Sultan of Malacca. Her name? Hang Li Po.The relevant Chinese emperor is from the Ming Dynasty not Qing (or Ching).Even today, the Agong wears yellow and has a yellow umbrella on ceremonial occasion. They were bestowed by the Ming Emperor.REASON WHY IN SEJARAH OF MALAYSIA SINCE YEAR 1999 Study about HANG TUAH is MISSING ?????" The Truth Reveals (with evidence)"Received: from local by Smtp Fwd via local research project to complement the history studies that we undertaken in our secondary school.

In June 1998, the government of Malaysia had hired a team of experts from across the continent to be gather here in Malaysia for a research project to compliment the history studies that we undertaken in our secondary school. The objective of the research is simply:

1. To find prove and evident that show the Malays are the origins of Malaysia and they are the first race and religion that lands their foot in Malaysia.

2. To further strengthen their claims, first they need to find the grave yard of the Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, Hang Lekiu and etc..to show the existant of their pioneer.

3. The Batu bersurat in Terengganu, reveals that the islamic religion has landed in malaysia for a hundred years ago which further strengthen their claims!

That is why, we are taught with sejarah (history of malaysia)!!!!

BEWARE & OPEN YOUR EYES!!! go ask your brother, sister, niece, newphew and etc. etc, since the year 1999 (if i'm not mistaken) or year 2000, do they study about HANG TUAH anymore????????

Why is that popular subject GONE????? Missing in action??????? or evidence reveals something different that causes the government to stop the syllabus and HIDE the TRUTH????????

Here are the Evidences of the findings by the team of scientists, archaeologist, historian and other technical staff from the United State, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Yemen & Russia.

The evidence are:

1) They finally found the grave yard of Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat and etc..., their skeleton had been analise and samples of DNA had been taken with the results show:

Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, hang Lekiu and mates, they are NOT MALAY!!!!!! they are CHINESE (islamic)from china!!! and why are they here in Malacca????? because they are in a misison to protect the UNGRATEFUL MALAY from the potential attack of SIAM (Thailand)!!!

So Hang tuah is not malay hero!!! they are the protector of the useless and ungrateful Parameswara (who is from INDONESIA)landed in Malacca and claim the land belongs to him!!!

The hang tuah bunch of people are all from china, they are being assign to malacca because parameswara request the Ching Dynasty Emporer for protection!!!

This is why the Hang Tuah series of history is MISSING from the SEJARAH!!!!

2nd. Evidence:

The researchers hired by the government found the oldest tomb stone(grave yard) in Kelantan in year 2000. Suprisingly the tomb stone are at least 900 years old!!!! older than the so-called batu bersurat. and the best thing is, it belong to the CHINESE!!!!!!!!

Being landed first in Malacca doesn't mean malay is the first in Malaysia cos during that time, the road is too long for them to see the other side of the coast!!! where the chinese has landed far more earlier.

Well, this is life of university as expected.. Busy with assignment, busy with cleaning the room, busy with shopping and everything.. Luckilly, I did some trainings to breakthrough this type of life.. Before coming to study here, I did work in KL for 1month plus which really helps me a lot..

My first day in Lim Kok Wing University

The first day at Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) was in fact the day which I had been looking forward all this while. Before I went to LUCT, there were a lot of things playing in my mind. I was very worried and afraid that it will be a complicated place full of strangers.

When I first arrived at LUCT on the 23rd July 2007, the situation was totally different from what I thought. It was not as complicated as I thought. There were a lot of new intake’s students (freshies) like me went for the registration, settling bills and so on. The first day at LUCT was a busy day as we had to queue, filling forms and registers ourselves. As I reached LUCT earlier that day, while waiting for the registration process to start, I went to meet Mr. Azlan to settle my scholarship matters as I had to pass the letter of approval from the Star Education Fund to him. I was really nervous as I failed to find him because he was very busy at that moment. Therefore, I went back to the plaza and queued myself up at my faculty section, LELC section.

I felt that I had no sense of direction at all when I was at the plaza. I saw a lot of freshies queuing up for the registration whereas I still don’t know which line I should follow. As a result, I seek for help from the staffs who were passing by to know what I should do. I was then informed that I had to fill in the Student Info Updates form while queuing up for the registration process. The funniest part of it was I queued at the wrong place. As I registered for the BSc. (Hons) Software Engineering with Multimedia, I thought I was supposed to queue together with the degree students. I only got to know that I queued wrongly when it was my turn and they referred me to register at the foundation section. There, I had to re-queue again but fortunately it was a short queue only. When it was my turn to register, I had been explained about my course and the number of subjects I should take this semester.

After that, I was referred to the registry which was located close to the stage at the plaza to get my temporary student ID card. Unfortunately, they could not locate where my temporary ID card was, so they asked me to go back the next day to get the card. Then, I went to the bursary to settle my payment which was located at the gallery on the 2nd floor. I was extremely shocked with the queue numbers that I got which was number 176 where the queue numbers only reached up to number 80 at that moment. For each person who went to the counter, it averagely takes around 8-15 minutes. As I had forgotten to bring my documents along with me, I went to one of the counter and asked for alternative and they told me to go back to the bursary the next day together with my documents. I was relieved when I was informed about it as I could skip such a long queue there.

Thus, I went to find Mr. Azlan again to pass to him the form. It was such a coincidence to see that Mr. Azlan at the plaza, so I passed the form to him and he comforted me not to worry as I can always refer back to him when I had some difficulties. Later, after settling everything, I had my lunch together with my friend at Makanlah and took a rest there. After taken the lunch, we were directed to go to the Hall of Fame for some speeches. At the Hall of Fame, I saw a lot of faces from different countries such as Africa, Indonesia, Iran and so on. Then I realized that LUCT is a university filled with various types of cultures. The speeches were interesting and we got to know more about the university.

The first day at LUCT is a day that I will never ever forget as I came through a lot on that day. From that day onwards, I felt that LUCT will be my second home. A place where I study, interact, and enjoy. I believe there is no other university that is as best as Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology.

Age Defence

A woman decides to have a face lift for her birthday. She spends $5,000 and feels pretty good about the results. On her way home, she stops at a newsstand to buy a newspaper. Before leaving she says to the clerk, "I hope you don't mind my asking, but how old do you think I am?"

"About 32," is the reply. "I'm exactly 47," the woman says happily.

A little while later she goes into McDonald's and asks the counter girl the very same question. She replies, "I guess about 29." "Nope, I'm 47."

Now, she's feeling really good about herself. She stops in a drugstore on her way down the street. She goes up to the counter to get some mints and asks the clerk this burning question.

The clerk responds, "Oh, I'd say 30." Again she proudly responds, "I am 47, but, thank you."

While waiting for the bus to go home, she asks an old man the same question. He replies, "Lady, I'm 78 and my eye sight is going. Although, when I was young, there was a sure way to tell how old a woman was. It sounds very awkward, but it requires you to let me put my hands under your bra. Then I can tell you exactly how old you are."

They wait in silence on the empty street until curiosity gets the best of her. She finally blurts out, "What the heck, go ahead." He slips both of his hands under her blouse and under her bra and begins to feel around very slowly and carefully.

After a couple of minutes of this, she says, "Okay,okay,...how old am I?" He completes one last squeeze of her breasts, removes his hands, and says, "Madam, you are 47." Stunned and amazed, the woman says, "That was incredible, how could you tell?"

The old man replies, "Promise you won't get mad?" No, I won't get mad", she says. "I was behind you in line at McDonald's."

No Looking Back.. Future Is In Our Hands..

It's been a week since I arrived in KL and stayed in the condominium at Cyberjaya..

It wasn't easy to be independent.. I knew that there's a lot of peoples who wanted to have their freedom.. Freedom from family.. Freedom from studies.. Freedom for everything..

Once you started to become independent, you started to appreciate what you had last time.. It's still fine for me as I am used to living alone without family around me.. I guess camping thingys really works.. I gained experiences from all sort of camping I had joined.. It really helps a lot.. It's not as hard as it is after knowing how to take care of yourself when nobody is around you.. Besides, I had been staying in KL for one month plus when I worked with an event company at Petaling Jaya months ago.. This made me even more confident to be independent..

I chose my own road and future.. I had decided to study in Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) even if I were selected to join the Matriculation at Labuan.. Getting an entry to matriculation wasn't easy especially for Chinese.. It's definitely difficult and you need luck to get selected.. I dropped the opportunity and risked myself to study in private college..

I was unbelievable lucky as I were selected to get the Star Scholarship during working with the event company.. And that moment.. I knew that God had agreed with the choice I made by studying at the private college, LUCT..

I had attended the orientation for the whole week and it was fascinating.. You'll sure enjoy it if you join this college with me.. During the orientation, we were doing crazy stuffs which you couldn't even imagine.. We played games which made us explored the whole university and getting to know better with the ambassador.. It's so crazy that you couldn't imagine you were asked to move your butt for different alphabet..

The orientation were not the best thing of all.. The best thing was the "FRESHIE PARTY".. We were like clubbing whole night long at our condominium's plaza.. We danced, we shook, we move, we sweat.. The party really rocks.. the dancing floor was really packed with "FRESHIE"..

This is me after the party..

Of course, after the orientation and party, it'll be our study time already.. My class starts next Monday.. I am looking forward to see my lecturers and classmates.. It'll be cool..

Last but not least, I miss my family and my friends! Gosh.. Looking at the photo below makes me remind of the time they sent me to KL at the airport..

And of course, look at their faces.. They are so happy that I am leaving.. except one guy.. the happiest guy which "peace" at the last rows.. He is happy because he is coming soon to meet me here in KL!! Well.. I wish you all best of luck.. and together we strive for excellence.. I never forget this motto even if I had left our high school..

Digi Celebriteen journey continues..

FU-YOH!! Exactly! That's how I felt when I did the Digi celebriteen here in Kuching, my hometown..

Before we actually start the audition and everything, we did the promo all around the school in the city of Kuching. We distribute flyers, talked to schools' principals, briefed to the students and drove here and there. It's tiring but it's fun! Not to mention, some of the principals were funny. They sounded like a doctor and felt like they were giving us the prescription soon after we brief to them. However, there were a number of them we discouraged their student to participate the competition.

To what I am thinking, this singing competition is actually good to the students as Digi is giving out more than RM15,000 as scholarship fund to the student who manage to get the throne as the champion for Digi Celebriteen 2007. I wonder why principal discouraged it. It's students' choice to sing or not to sing but it's not principals' decision to do so. We had to gone through the principal in order to seek permission to let their students know about the competition only. Ofcourse there were supportive school as well. The teachers were in pleasure to help us inform their students about the singing competition.

Although the number of peoples who went for the auditions were not encouraging but the talented peoples were a lot. It's definitely hard to pick people from Kuching to be in the finalist. Almost everyone knows how to sing in the audition but the judges would only choose the special ones among the crowd..

I had two of my schoolmates as my colleague and few more are colleagues from West Malaysia. It happened to be that not many went for the audition at Cosmopoint therefore we were too free till we were able to catch picture as below.

And again, I took picture with Baki and Juliana again (you'll know who they were if you read previous post). They were fantastic TV host and crew.. Working together with them was my pleasure indeed.

After selecting the finalist, they'd been through some trainings sessions which I had my day off during the training sessions. The finalists were quite friendly and some of them were really talkative (not a bad sign though). I went to Lion Nursing Home together with them to do the charity visit. I was as one of the drivers to bring them there. The visiting was so-so as I think the elders didnt get entertained much. I guess going to such place should at least have some interaction with the elders.

During the reharsal, the finalist didnt perform quite well. I think they were just too nervous. However they performed perfectly on the stage during the actual competition.

During the competition, we had the roadshow as well.. I was busy doing the Fu-Yoh activation promo. I felt like I was a salesman when I actually begged people to change their call plan to Fu-Yoh call plan and gave them free gifts.

I did enjoy my work as I get to see a lot of peoples and a lot of my friends that day. The singing competition was tough. Everyone was very very GOOD! Y'all Kuching Citizenz, we ROCK!

The champion who sang "Hui Jia" by Shunza were really good. We had all expected her to win.

This is me with the 1st Runner up Jun Cheah (my friend as well).

Well, that's that.. It's time for me to get back to my studies.. I guess I have to stop working for this temporary..

Api! Api!!

Well, curious what's about it?

7th July, Kuching:
As I was working as the Digi Celebriteen crew for the audition that day, I'd encountered an exciting encounter that I had ever made. We (Digi celebriteen crew) were too bored. Not many went for the audition that day, all we'd done was wait, wait and wait.. I were thinking that the reason might be that Cosmopoint college was too "hidden" as in it's location.. People were lazy to go to Cosmopoint to do the audition because they didn't want to waste their precious time in looking for the spot..

Well, since we were bored, me and two of my colleagues went "yum cha" and we saw smoke coming out from place that wasn't far away from the cafe. The wind was too furious that time and blew the smoke to our direction.

I guess it happened that we got nothing to do and we went to see what happen. I felt like we were the "Digi Celebriteen Reporter" as we were in one car and wearing the same uniform to the burning spot.

When we reached place that was nearby to the incident, we parked our car and ran to that spot. On the way running to that burning spot, I saw long traffic jam and many peoples which was as busybody as we do. While reaching to the place of occurrence, we saw fire brigades there splashing water on the angry fire on the first floor of the building. I had to admit that the fire brigade was cool.

Many went to take photo like we did and many stood there to see the "show" while some were discussing about the incidence and make conclusion to it just like we did. We were suspecting that the company had owed some firm money so instead they burned all the documents and on top of that they can claim fire insurance as well.. No new car were burned at all.. It's like planned properly..

The funniest part was when we saw the officer of the fire brigade arrive after the fire brigades had long arrived and they only stepped in and took a look just like what we did..

Well, I guess this is how Malaysian is... After shooting some photos, we rushed back for the audition and waited for people who wanted to had their celebrity dream..

Still, in the end, nobody went for it and we packed and ran home to rest..

Nostalgia

Looking back at memorable things will definitely remind us about our past..

After coming back to Kuching for some times, I went back to my high school which I had studied for 5 years, SMK Kuching Town No.1 - The coolest school ever..

However, some things will change after long period..

My previous block during form 2, 4 and 5 had became like this just because the rage of fire happened in May. It is somehow sad because the class that I used to study had became ashes. Well, at least I can still recognize my own block..

Besides that, talking with our friendly teachers definitely makes me missed my school very much. I am really thankful to the teachers whoever taught me in the high school. Their advice, knowledge and determination are something priceless, something that no one else can get it from you.

Somehow, some notice board in the school caught my notice. I saw the Interact Club board and saw the newspaper report regarding the singing competition which was held last year by the Interact Club. Well.. I really missed the moment.. I sang a song named "Qiao Gu Niang" and were able to cheer the crowd up by some silly moves on the stage. Another was the group song by me, See Neng and Yong Fook which was named as "Tong Nian". We intentionally sang that song to make us remind of our childhood and also to sing it with pleasure only and who knows we ended up to become the champion for group category.

Well, that's some memories in the school.. I knew you have your own memories as well.. Memories are always memorable to us.. We should keep it in our heart and our mind from time to time.. Read more...

Trip to Santubong Resort

Keep on talking about my work wasn't a good idea.. I don't like to just work work work.. I know how to stress out and relax too..

My friend (Dave) asked me to go along with him together with few more friends to Santubong Resort.. The intention was only one.. to STRESS OUT!

The journey to Santubong wasn't long.. It's different when you travel in the car comparing to travel in a bus.. I used to travel to Santubong with friends in bus.. The speed reaching the destination was very different.. We reach there in within 30mins which our bus might take us longer time to reach there..

I didn't play much there and slept very early that night.. But I enjoyed the view.. Enjoy the sun bath.. Enjoy catching small fishes and put them back to sea..

Of course it is impossible for me not playing sand at the beach.. I did something to the sand.. Dig my name out.. It's tiring as the water keep on washing away the sand which make the hole bigger and bigger.. but it's FUN!

And ofcourse since we have car to go to eat, why not we go to eat at the restaurant nearby? We went to one of the seafood restaurant nearby to take our dinner that day.. It takes us around 5minutes to reach there.. It's like a mini zoo there.. I saw monkeys, peacocks, goose and so on..

Not forgetting the beautiful beach scenery..>
