Late post: It was Rissa's birthday on the 4th June, however, we celebrated her birthday earlier on the 3rd June as that's when everyone is free.

Birthday GAL! RISSA!
Rissa - The birthday gal w/ her present

She rented a car (Perodua Viva) for which RM7 per hour for that night's crazy outing. We went to Dao Rae, a korean BBQ restaurant, Puchong branch..

Review about Dao Rae - Korean BBQ Restaurant:

Food : 3 / 5 stars
Service : 4 / 5 stars
Environment : 4 / 5 stars
Cleanliness : 4.5 / 5 stars
Qty per serving : 2.5 / 5 stars (Not enough for us to eat)
Toilet : 4 / 5 stars
Price : Reasonable

So, conclusion about Dao Rae.. OK LAH!! Nothing much to complain besides the quantity per serving as I EAT A LOT mah.. So let's see what happened..

This is Glenn and Rissa (both from Indonesia).. Taken before food

Opposite both of them would be ME and Yuni.. Also taken before food

So this is how KOREAN BBQ looks like.. only the middle part they BBQ and the rest not BBQ-ed!

I thought Korean BBQ Restaurant is a place for us to BBQ the food except the seasoning are Korean way of seasoning and some others imported food. Who knows that they only BBQ meat in the middle.. and some more.. the worker help us BBQ! I was like "WTH"? I thought BBQ restaurant was suppose to let us enjoy the BBQ process as well..

Perhaps that's how BBQ in Korea.. So.. Didn't blame them much..

Before going off.. one group photo.. (The waiter got very bad picture taking skill)

After taking the last picture and clearing off the bill (Sincere thanks to Rissa for her birthday treat), we set off to go to Putrajaya to take some picture.. They specifically want to only take picture at one of the bridge to have some beautiful night scenes picture..

The funniest part of all.. WE GOT LOST!! I just knew that there's so many big bridge at Putrajaya.. As my toe was kinda pain (after the operation in previous post), my girlfriend drove the car and have Rissa them to guide the road.. Amazingly, we'd been driving here and there "blindlessly".. In the end, I offered myself to drive the car while my girlfriend take a look around the surrounding (She's better in remembering the road than me)..

In the end we finally reach there, and of course, took us almost an hour to go there.. For sure, we didn't forget the motive we go there.. CAMWHORE Time!!

Picture taken before 12am.. (We prepared presents for her without letting her know) and we surprised her with her present and her FAMOUS AMOS Cookie..

After that.. Camwhore again!

This time, we take picture with the birthday girl first..

After that, we're bored with the same scene we had behind us.. So, instead, we change our scene to THIS CAR (The rented car)..

Way to Claim for Petrol

From today (Saturday, June 14), vehicle and motorcycle owners eligible for cash rebates can claim them at 683 post offices nationwide.

You have until March next year (under the first phase) to claim your rebates.

With the recently-announced fuel price hike, the government is offering owners of cars of up to 2,000cc, as well as pick-up trucks and jeeps of up to 2,500cc RM625 for each vehicle, while motorcyclists with vehicles of up to 250cc will receive RM150 each.

Here's what you have to do:

* bring along your original identity card or MyKad or police/army identity card.

* you will need to fill in details like their full name, identity card number and vehicle registration number on the prescribed form available at the post offices.

* those who have more than one vehicle have to fill a separate form for each vehicle, for up to five vehicles (cars or combination of cars and motorcycles).

* during the Phase I period, third parties are not allowed to make the claims on behalf of vehicle owners.

* Pos Malaysia staff will make verifications with the Road Transport Department's (JPJ) database to determine the eligibility for the cash rebate.

* under Phase I, vehicle owners whose road tax are between April 1 and May 31 this year could start claiming the subsidy from June 14 to March 31 next year.

* vehicle owners who purchased or renewed their road tax between June 1 this year and March 31, 2009, could make their claims from July 1 this year (under Phase II).

* transactions can also be made via money order, following the same procedure but claimants must include their permanent or postal address and telephone contact number in the forms before dropping
the forms in the boxes provided at the post offices. The maximum waiting period is seven days and the vehicle owners can cash the money order at any nearest post office or make deposits in their bank account.

Some 2,000 counter staff members will be involved in the exercise.

My Bloody Toe

Been wondering why I was kinda busy lately?!

It all started from this..

My toe
My stupid toe with one little piece of meat coming out from my nail..

It really was a painful experience to go with it and it still is.. Well, I was kinda worry that the bloody little meat will cause some infection to my toe and also irritated by the little meat as I can pull it in and out.. Because of that, I hesitate no more to pay a visit to the hospital and check what I should do about it..

And... this is what happened next!!!

 Day 1
Day 1 (02/06/2008): Pull off the nail and got it bandage like big sausage!

You cant even imagine how terrible it was while pulling off the nail.. The doctor firstly numbed my toe a bit by injecting some "ubat bius", and after that he started to twist my small little meat out.. That was still fine a bit fine.. It really was a bit pain already.. The worst thing next was when he tried to pull off my nail.. He pulled my nail up and down, left to right, shook here and there, and forcefully pull off my nail..

The pain was so irresistible.. However, what terrified me was actually my blood.. My blood stained the doctor's coat.. He said that it was the first time for so many years that he stained his coat for such simple operation.. I guess I sure has a lot of blood in me.. Placing next to me was my pulled off nails.. I felt like taking picture of it but I was too numbed and pained to take the picture..

And from that time onwards, I walked like "kaki tempang".. The pain, of course, get worse when the numb effect gone..

I had to go for dressing (changing my bandage and wash the wound) everyday until last Tuesday..

Day 2
Day 2 (03/06/2008) : My circumcised nail-less toe

Day 4
Day 4 (05/06/2008) : Looks like it gone a bit worse when the doctor saw the infection part (to the left - unclear in the photo as it's cover with my blood)

Day 5

Day 5 (06/06/2008) : The doctor tried to clean my wound

 Day 5

Day 5 (06/06/2008) : My blood flows out again when the doctor cleaned the wound.. (It was dried before cleaning >.<")

Day 5

Day 5 (06/06/2008) : My expression (excited and bloody pain) when the doctor cleaned the wound..  My friend took this picture for me.. Well, the expression in that picture shows more like I was smiling forcefully but, in fact, I was holding my breath and biting my teeth hardly to resist the pain..

Day 9

Day 9 (10/06/2008) : Finally, it got better!! I don't have to trouble myself to skip my classes to go to the clinic to clean my wound.. Most importantly, don't have to suffer the pain while doing the dressing..

Day 14

Day 14 (15/06/2008) : The wound dried and cracked a bit.. *itchy itchy*.. Felt like scratching it for some times..

Glad that now it gets better.. I hope it'll be full recover (even if without the nail).. My shoes are waiting for me to use them and I am waiting to jump into the swimming pool and swim freely!!

OHHHHHHHH... MY BLOODY TOEEEE!!!!

Tips: SAVE MORE Petrol!!!

Our government always compared our petrol price with non oil-producing countries such as Singapore and Thailand, however, did you realise that they never really compare our petrol price with oil-producing countries like Malaysia?!

Petrol

Check this out:

UAE - RM1.19/litre
Eygpt - RM1.03/litre
Bahrain - RM0.87/litre
Qatar - RM0.68/litre
Kuwait - RM0.67/litre
Saudi Arabia - RM0.38/litre
Iran - RM0.35/litre
Brunei - RM1.10/litre
Nigeria - RM0.32/litre
Turkmenistan - RM0.25/litre
Venezuela - RM0.16/litre

MALAYSIA - RM2.70/litre

Raise of petrol price

Anyway, I'm not going to complain much about the petrol because a lot of bloggers had done that already due to the recent increment of petrol price to RM2.70..

Instead, I would like you to read all this from a forwarded mail.. It's useful as it's logically true and scientifically proven..

Only buy or fill up your vehicle petrol in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground.. The colder the ground the more dense the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your litre is not exactly a litre. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.  A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapours that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapour return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes  vapour. Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

Save more $$

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your tank is HALF FULL.  The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.

Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every litre is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, if there is a fuel truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy, DO NOT fill up--most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered,  and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

Hope this will help you get the most value for your money.

DO SHARE THESE TIPS WITH OTHERS!

End of the world?!

I received this forwarded mail from my sister and got a bit terrified by the content about future predictions as below. There's no guarantee that this mail could be true or false. However, it's something that should be shared among all as this is a matter of life or death..

It's just rumours' rumours.. Do not question me where I got this sources as it's from the forwarded mail.. You might get it too

P/S : Sorry for no picture in this post as there's no evidence for future prediction..

The mail sounded like this:

Mr. Juseleeno, born in 1960(reportedly still alive in 2008), is a Brazilian who has made many predictions, and MOST have come to pass, including Princess Diana's death by car accident (which is instigated by someone near her and will probably unfortunately be written off as a car accident), 911 and the 2004 Indonesian tsunami. He sees the future in his dreams, and has an average of 3 to 9 such predictions per day. When he wakes up, he will write them down, and send warnings to those concerned. If it concerns only a normal individual, he will write a letter to warn him/her. If it is a famous person(celebrity, politician etc.), or matters concerning the public, he will not only send it to the individual himself/herself, but also related agencies, government, and media. He urged the media to publicise these predictions, but the reply always went along the lines of rejection for fear of arousing public panic.

Future predictions:

2008, July: There will be an earthquake in Japan, which will cause a tsunami of 30 plus metres high to occur as well.

2008, 18th September: An earthquake with magnitude of approximately 9.1 will rock China , simultaneously causing a tsunami of more than 30 metres to occur, resulting in the deaths of more than 1 million people. Although this huge earthquake will happen after the Olympics have ended, there will be a series of relatively smaller earthquakes occurring in China before the huge earthquake. The China government, which is more concerned with the success of the Olympics, will most likely neglect to employ appropriate cautionary measures, thus the high casualty rate. If the China government does not publicise the occurrence of these minor earthquakes and evacuate people, the number of deaths will be as predicted.

2008, 17th December: Terrorist attack in America

2010: The temperatures in some countries of Africa could be as high as 58 degrees Celsius, and there will be a serious shortage of water.

2010, 15th June: The New York Stock Exchange market will fail, causing an international financial crisis.

2011: The research on the treatment of some cancers will be completed, but a new life-threatening virus will appear. People who are infected will die after only approx. 4 hours of coming into contact with the virus.

2013, 1st – 25th November: Research on treatment of cancers, except for brain tumors, will be completed. An earthquake, caused by volcanic eruptions, will happen on Bahama Island of the Canary Islands. A gigantic tsunami of roughly 150 metres will result. America mainlands, Brazil etc. will be affected, with the tsunami pushing into the land as far as 15 to 20 kilometres. Before the occurrence of this gigantic tsunami, the sea/ocean water levels will sink by about 6 metres, and large flocks of birds will start to migrate.

2014: A small planet that has been gradually closing in on Earth might eventually collide with Earth, and this collision, if come to pass, will affect the survival of humans as a whole.

2015: By the mid of November, the average temperature of Earth could be as high as 59 degrees Celsius. Many people will die from the overheat, and international confusion and terror ensues.

2016, April: A huge typhoon will invade China, causing massive damage. The 43rd USA president, George Walker Bush, will enter the hospital, and faces a life or death situation.

2026, July: A super earthquake will occur in Sans Francisco, and it will be named 'The Big One'. Huge damage to surrounding areas. Many volcanoes will re-activate, and the height of resulting tsunami will be more than 150 metres.

Mr. Juseleeno made known his predictions in hopes that people will take heed of his warnings, so that these disasters may be avoided. He hopes there will be a major change in the thinking of people's mindsets in the time period 2007 – 2008. One factor will be the environmental issue of global warming, which is more serious than what some meteorologists assume.
