Gadoh 2009 – Touching Film by Malaysian

We’re blindfolded all this while.. We believe what we hear and what we wanted to believe.. But have we try our best to see and to understand what others try to tell us and let us know how they feel?! Did we actually opened our eyes wide enough without biased thoughts?!

We’re all educated by our parents at homes and even our teachers from school… Are we the one to be blame for what we are now or they should be blame?! Yet, on one hand, we blame the school for not teaching our children properly, and on the other hand, the school blame the parents for not able to teach their own children..

So.. who should we blame then?! Do we put all our blame on our children as they gave us shame and could not be educated?!

There’s so much to say, and so much to question.. but when we flipped back the pages, we started to regret for our own fault and realized that we can actually help them before it’s too late..

GADOH is one film that touches my soul and I believe much more who had watched this film.. It shows how we were educated by the elders and what we see that happened in Malaysia..

My friend once asked me, “Harry, did you notice how racist people are in KL? It happened a lot in my university..”

Me, as a student in Limkokwing University, a private university in Malaysia, we saw more than just three races (Malays, Chinese, Indians).. We saw more cultures and we saw worse.. Perhaps, there are still people who are being racist in our university, but, I see less..

I’m not trying to make any comparison in any other university or what.. But this is what I see.. I may not be a good observant, but I’m pretty sure my eye won’t lie to me.. I didn’t see much discrimination among Malaysians, be it Chinese, Malay, or Indians like what we see in the society..

Whenever I sat on a taxi in Kuala Lumpur, the taxi drivers sure told me a lot about different race.. and definitely, he discriminated a lot.. I guess, almost all of us are polluted.. We’d been blindfolded!

If we could do simple thing such as listening to others, it might help.. If we could just try to put ourselves in their shoes, we might understand how it feels to be them..

Here, I urge everyone who is reading this blog, try no to tie your ear to yourself.. Try not to blindfold yourself.. Give people chance by listening what they have to say.. Give yourself a chance to see what is really happening in the real world and not just the country itself..

Lots have been said and lots have been heard.. I do hope every Malaysian is able to watch this film ”Gadoh”.. It was not screen in the cinema as it deemed to be having explicit racist content.. Watch it to know it.. It’s in multi-language.. If you can understand Cantonese, Malay, and English.. Then you should have no problem at all at watching this movie..

Synopsis:
Gadoh tells a story of a group of teenagers who fought each other along racial lines; a cycle of hatred and violence further escalated by their environment and school system.

Tsunami @ Haeundae

I just watched this movie, Tsunami at Haeundae, at Genting Highlands Cinema and it touched my heart so deep that I can even feel droplets of water rushing down to my chin.. It’s been a while since I had those type of feelings which gets into me deeply and touches my soul.. It’s been a while since I get really swallowed up by the whole scene or should I say that I got fascinated more than ever in this movie..

I can still recall few touching scenes inside the movie even until now.. The images keep flashing through my memories and it feels like I’m in the movie together with those refugees who runs for their life with their love ones and sacrificed themselves for the others.. It feels so yesterday, literally.. even though I’d never been through those type of situations or circumstances..

Sometimes, it makes me think..

How worth can our life be?!

Are we spending our time in a right way?!

What had we been doing in the past??!

How far can you go to save your love ones?!

Is trying to be a hero something great or is it stupid?!

and more..

Tsunami at Haeundae is not just a movie to me.. It carries a lot of powerful message to everyone who’re watching that movie.. I don’t know how far can you think of when you are watching this movie, but I’d got a lot in my mind..

I’d rate this movie 4.5 out of 5 stars if you asked me..

I’m also well impressed by this movie as it seemed to be like any others big movie production from Hollywood.. It’s really up to the standard.. Of course, let’s not compare much from Hollywood as we always know who leads the market.. The thing is, it’s seriously a good film..

I’m not going to reveal anything from that movie as I think you should go watch it in the cinema while you can.. Seriously, IT’S A GOOD FILM, I repeat… It’s worth paying RM11 or RM12 for such a movie.. Let’s support Asia’s movie once in a while..

I told my girlfriend that I shouldn’t have watched it.. Well, I was just joking about that.. I would like to watch it again if I were asked to watch it again.. It’s a good film, why not?!

The only part is you should not watch the movie with the light on.. I don’t want anyone to see me in those type of situation.. Well, ya.. “those type”..

So, go go! Go watch it while it’s still showing in the cinema!

Again, the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another meal for them. This time the old woman said 'No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything.'

Hari Raya Break Symptoms

I had this Hari Raya Break Symptoms.. Like any other breaks, I’d plan it way before the break.. When I say “way before”, I mean really way way before like few months break..

“But why?!” you asked..

Blame the airlines for the expensive tickets as time draws near!!!

Okay.. Back to the symptoms which I think most of us are infected by it most of the time.. I mean, most of the holidays.. So, instead of saying it just Hari Raya Break Symptom, we just make it our Holiday Symptoms..

Holiday Symptoms:
1. Lazy
2. Dizzy
3. Complaining the things that revolves around
4. Can’t think properly - Haywire
5. Couldn’t focus
6. Drag everything to the end

Well, those are normal symptoms for most of us la.. maybe not all.. but I’m sure you’ll get one of it.. Just don’t tell me you get this like throughout the year.. You seriously gotta check yourself out and go and take a break! A SERIOUS BREAK!

Anyway, what I’ve always admire are the courage and the struggles for the Muslims during the “Fasting” or “Puasa” period.. Seriously, two thumbs up to all of you who didn’t even skip your fast or puasa for any selfish reason.. But for those who skipped class with the reason “puasa”, it’s quite a pity la.. My sentiment for you all..

I seriously can’t even imagine myself not drinking any water at all for the whole day.. Food maybe I can still tolerate but for not drinking, that’s like the hardest part.. Perhaps, if you do fast, let me know how you struggle through this…

Are the first few days the hardest or was it the last day of fasting the hardest? First few days ‘cause of the sudden change or routine or last day of fasting with foods around and with the festive season drawing nearer?

Last but not least, Me, Harry, would like to wish you all “Selamat Hari Raya”.. Enjoy your holiday!! Oh.. enjoy your foods but don’t over eat.. enjoy your duit raa but don’t overspent it… Just don’t over do it!

Like the new header of mine?!

Well, from the previous two post, I’d mentioned a lot about my header.. However, there were a lot of changes before I’d actually picked this current one.. I did asked few of my friends to do a bit of survey and to get votes.. In the end, it turned out well..

The concept of this header was actually having the word that looks like a story book or even a magazine header.. I used clean font type to portray the targeted word which is “The Twilight Edition”, and, of course, smaller fonts with different color for the slogan which is “more personal” and “more mysterious”

Well, let’s do less word and more picture this time.. Let’s see the step-by-step evolution of this header..

That’s not all, ‘cause my friends thought that, too many words make the header lost it's focus, so, the only solution is to make the orange link at the bottom left smaller..

Blog Of Life – Twilight Edition

You may had noticed the change of the blog header and also I had updated my post since few days back.. Been busy with assignments and so on.. (Last minute work as usual..)

Anyway, some of you might ask me why “Twilight”?! Why not any other edition?!

It took me quite some times to actually think about the new theme for this blog.. Last time, it was just “Blog Of Life” with the theme that reflects our life as a storybook and everyday in our life is written in it..

This time, I came up with this Twilight Edition, mainly to reflect another part of myself which I don’t normally show it in the blog.. Perhaps, if you read back my blog, I’d been trying to write something in positive approach and only little bit of negative thoughts..

Speaking of which, it’s time for me to get more personal with my readers and show the mysterious part of Harry.. And, of course, you might notice the picture on the right of the header..

This picture came with a concept which I’m looking the mirror and reflecting myself in multiple ways (multiple mirrors).. Mirror has always been like a twilight zone to me since I fantasized a lot last time..I’d even written a story about the twilight zone which connects the underworld with our real world..

The thing is.. there are actually times that we feel like expressing ourselves and we could not find a right way of expressing it.. This very place, will be the place where I spill my feelings and emotions with things that revolve around me..

Well, that’s the beginning of the song, Right Now (Na Na Na) from Akon anyway.. I know it’s been like ages since my last update in this blog.. It’s like tons of my readers been asking me what happened to me and this and that..

Well, I should say I took a short break from the blogosphere and officially announce that I’m back in action again.. This time, it’ll be more personal and more mysterious than ever.. *Refer to the new header above.. Cool eh?!* I’ll introduce about that in my upcoming post so stay tune for that..

So, time to answer my question to my readers who had been wondering, whether or not, I’m still alive.. Well, I pretty much alive here.. See, you are already reading this till here.. I know, I know, you’ll most probably start “sweating” there and keep cursing me for my crap.. Ain’t you glad that I’m back?!

Actually, I took a break in blogosphere, thinking that it took out big portion of my time everyday to come here, updating the post, checking out the comments and everything else.. Due to that reason, I’d a bit problem in managing my time with my girlfriend as well.. Imagine I’m locking myself in the room even at the weekends for blogging.. IMAGINE THAT!

Oh.. Which actually reminds me that tomorrow it’s the exact 16months that we’ve been together.. *winks* Well, hope everything goes smoothly lah, ya..

I’d this thing going on in the online radio field which needs me to run and drive it.. I’m like the root of it.. Without it, all those long history I had with it will vanish together with it and gone to waste.. I’d introduced my this online radio before long ago, but just to freshen up the memory again.. It’s called iStream Radio Network which basically based in Malaysia and to share all the hits or music to all the music lovers out there.. We had a little bit plan here and there but I’ll update you guys when it’s all good.. It’s a long term project, so it takes time..

Of course, apart from using up my time on this radio, I have my university stuffs to do as well.. Pretty much those exams and some assignments.. It’s all good at this moment, if you asked..

11 months is coming and..

11 months is coming soon.. Tomorrow will be the 11months of me and my girlfriend being together..

There’s a lot of ups and downs revolving around us.. but we still manage to be together for 11 months.. It’s like a gift to me, everyday, seeing her.. She helped me a lot.. Step by step.. hand in hand.. just like guiding a baby.. She made me understand certain things that I could not understand before..

Sometimes, I got caught up with my own selfishness.. and did not think of how she felt for that moment.. Sometimes, I got caught up with my works.. and did not spend enough time with her.. Sometimes, I made her cry.. and was not able to understand her.. Sometimes, I made her disappointed with me.. and did not try to make myself better..

When I look into her eyes.. I knew she’s in pain.. she’s hurt by me.. but I could not do anything to comfort her as I’m pretty bad in that..

I’m not a guy who express well in real life.. At times, when I’m depressed, I laughed.. At times, when I’m happy, I just smiled.. At times, when I’m angry, I pulled a long face to everyone..

It’s not easy for me to just say “I love you..” and I ain’t good in saying it.. It makes me look like I’m joking when I say that.. Since small, parents never really teach us how to say “Wa Ai Lu” (I love you in Hokkien).. and I can’t imagine if I say that to my brother and sisters, what reaction they will give to me.. They probably going to spank me on my head.. It’s not easy like what you see in those movie where they always say “I love you mum..”

I guess culture does made a difference to different races and individuals..

I’m one who wish one to love me more.. and became an attention seeker.. who ask for nothing much but needing one to understand me much.. and sincerely love me..

It’s not easy to trust someone like me.. when I practically joke 75% in my life.. and used flowery language to everyone.. People usually mistaken I’m gay as when I speak to guys, I used the same language that I used on the girls..

I treat everyone around me equal.. I try not to abandon people and try not to hurt anyone close to me.. ‘cause I know how it feels when someone tried to abandon you and left you in despair..

Someday.. perhaps, someday.. more people could understand me and know who I am..

As for tomorrow, I don’t know what I can do for our 11months.. I’d been like forgetting the monthly anniversary for like.. all the time?! Even now, I remembered that it’ll be our 11months soon, but I am empty headed to think what to do next.. I guess, romance is not on my side..

I guess, I should plan for something next month as it’ll be our one year anniversary already.. but then, again, perhaps I need to ask all around what I can do to cheer her up!

Wonderful birthday with the world

Most of the people in Malaysia celebrated my birthday last Saturday by switching off the light for one hour.. Well, not exactly.. They did it for the 60 Earth Hour campaign but it was just a coincidence that it’s on my birthday too..

Basically, in this campaign, people who participated would switch off their light for one hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on the 28th March 2009, which is on my birthday..

I did not actually participated in this event as I was in the shopping mall.. However, our house lights were off before we set off to the shopping mall.. If you asked me whether the shopping mall did their light off for one hour, I’d say YES!

Sunway Pyramid had their light off outside the whole building except few lights which made the pedestrian path visible.. However, inside the mall, it’s not as what you thought.. It’s definitely impossible to make everyone panic in the dark.. Only the unnecessary lights were switched off to support this campaign..

Ok.. Skip the Earth Hour stuffs.. Some claimed it’s useless as the best way to save the earth is to end the open burning and smoking.. (which is quite true..)

Anyway, my birthday.. It’s fantastic, I’d say.. For the past few years, before I came to the university to study, I used to have a big celebration at my home by inviting all my close friends to my birthday bash.. Otherwise, my family will bring me out to buy things that I’d wished for long..

This year, it’s not a birthday bash, but it’s still a great one to me.. This is the first year to celebrate my 20th birthday with my girlfriend.. Well, I just couldn’t explain how it is a great one to me.. But, I’m delighted on the day itself..

My girlfriend and friends planned ~~an ambush~~ a birthday surprise for me.. and I, somehow, got surprised.. Cause they managed to stay up late for me to return home as I went to watch midnight movie together with my girlfriend before my birthday itself.. Touchy touchy~~ I love ya all~~

I had once get very disappointed during my birthday due to no surprises and lack of greetings from friends and family, but not anymore because I decided to not expect much from everyone and just to pass my birthday happily.. Unexpectedly, my friends, close or not close, they managed to send their greetings and wishes to me.. Some via phone, some via facebook while some via friendster and some via MSN..

I guess, it’s a good thing for us to not expect something too much once in a while.. Life moves on regardless it’s good or bad.. But it’s up to us to determine it’s a good one or a bad one.. and it’s exactly up to us to decide what future we opt for.. So, be HAPPY!!

I like to take pictures since I started blogging few years back.. And beautiful shots often amazed me!

One of a considerably “beautiful” shot of my is this caterpillar shot.. Using my mom’s Olympus 1030SW digital camera.. Played a bit with the focusing.. Well, of course the result is not as good as DSLR but, at the very least, it still did a fair work on the auto focusing..

This caterpillar is freaking small and kept moving.. It took me quite some times to really just focus on the caterpillar using Auto-focus and snap it!

Short Post: Back from Dragonball Evolution

Just back from the movie premiere screening of Dragonball Evolution which was sponsored by Nuffnang.. As the title said so, I won’t be writing a lot here..

Basically, I’m kinda tired with the whole day class already.. and my girlfriend and I went straight to One Utama to avoid being late.. Luckily, we took another route which is much more expensive but able to reach earlier and need not have to press on the brake that often..

But, anyway, to make the story short.. We went to Carl’s Junior and had our dinner there.. Bloated and satisfied as usual.. Went to collect our movie tickets and off to bowling without meeting any other bloggers..

Often, I left my girlfriend parted my world when I was together with other bloggers.. Hm.. I guess that’s what we said “disconnected” when you can’t actually establish a connection to something that you have no interest right?

So, went for bowling.. It was fun but I lose TWICE to my girlfriend.. I think the bowl got problem la.. (excuses only.. haha)..

Took a picture.. and saw some of my Kuching friends, my hometown friends.. My junior and three other seniors.. Two of them are also blogger.. Kelvin and Kit.. What a small world..

Then, I prompt into few other bloggers.. Bernard, Evelyn, WenPink, Jackie, Greg, Kate and etc.. (sorry, can’t remember some of the link.. leave the link in the comment and I’ll update it..) It’s a Blogoworld after all..

Then went for the movie.. Laughed for the lameness but stunned by the charm of Chi Chi and Bulma.. And jealous with the the adorable Goku.. and got disappointed by the lousy act of Master Rishi (Chow Yun Fatt)..

It’s just a normal movie with a lot of computer effects.. Exaggerating is what I should say.. I dislike the action and so on.. It’s too normal.. and the effect is terribly sucks.. but if you are one of a Dragonball fan.. Just give a shot and watch that movie..

Still can watch la if “mai hiam”..

TIPS: How to Stay Young

Often, we get question like “How old are you already?!”.. Some people will just get irritated by the people who asked about the age.. Not trying to bias, but the majority would be the female.. As I always say, woman is usually more sensitive to number than man.. from money to weight and to age..

What do you see from this picture? Young or Old lady? Just a brain-teaser picture..

However, I do hear some positive remark from way people answer the question.. Instead of saying, “I’m 34 years old this year..”, he or she will say, “I’m still 34 years young and fit..”

Age is just a number.. Think it that way and I believe we could get young.. However, often as it may seem, we usually treat our age as something that may be a hindrance to us.. Well, of course, problem occurs only when we reach 30 and above..

Usually, when we are young, especially when we were a kid or a teen, we keep wishing that we will reach the age of 18 or 21 as soon as possible and wishing time would pass faster.. It some how became a disastrous matter when reaching 30-an..

If we are able to cope with our age and let the age be just number.. Perhaps we can still look young and fit when reaching a really “mature” level.. Look at Pierce Brosnan (our former famous “James Bond”), regardless how old, he is always looking young and fit.. Agree? No?!

Well, now get into the main point.. I receive this tips or theory of staying young.. And I found it quite logical and helpful, and wanted to share this to all of you..

THEORY OF STAYING YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers.
This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay "them."

2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning.
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop."
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen..
Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.
Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips.
Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them , at every opportunity.

Two days back, dated 05 March 2009, I went to Azizi Zakaria’s Media Launching at PJ Hilton and got pretty much to know Azizi more..

If you can’t follow up who is Azizi, you should check out this post.. It’s an interview with him..

Well, in that post, he did stated that his album would most probably be in the market in August or September (last year) but, in fact, the album manage to be in the market on the 10th March 2009.. Well, I believe it’s not easy to just put an album in the market.. There’s always circumstances and high and low to cope with.. Most importantly is he never give up.. That’s a good thing though..

He even made a Music Video (MV) for one of his songs, “Kamu Semua”, from his this very first album.. Well, making this video is a success I would say.. He even brought some local artists in the video.. Diddy, Aesar Mustafa, Rafikoncept, and even Dina from the Malaysian Idol.. One lucky man heh.. *winks*

Damai Trip 3D/2N (16-18 Dec 2008) – Part 2

So.. the second day begun.. For those who didn’t catch the Part 1 of the trip, check it out here..

Well, since it’s a beach resort.. what we did is.. went to the beach to play again.. Hahaz..

This time, we built a mermaid out of the sand.. it’s a tough work, I should say..

.. caught me in action while doing facial for the mermaid..

.. oh my god.. my tummy.. anyway.. those are the other two who did this mermaid project too..

.. and we took jumping shot.. it’s tough..

.. looks like the camera guy got the wrong timing.. which makes us look like “cacated”..

.. after learning the shooting lesson.. we got better shot!!

Well, nothing else to do at the beach.. So we went down to the swimming pool.. AGAIN!!

.. and my gay buddies were all there.. Ok.. they ain’t gay.. Just kidding about it..

Whee!! All of them like my camera very much.. Who won’t want to take a picture underwater?! Right?!

.. I should say.. it’s hard to get a splendid shot in the water.. the chlorine hurt your eye and the pressure in the water makes you hard to move in the water..

After whole tiring day, we planned to go to Buntal Village for some fresh seafood.. which is also one of the famous place in Kuching for seafood..

I camwhored a bit before getting ready for the seafood hunting..

.. and then we were here.. The Buntal 88 Seafood Centre..

Just to make things clear.. There’s a lot of seafood restaurant in the village.. Make sure you make a right choice.. This one that we picked, the foods are kinda nice..

Damai Trip 3D/2N (16-18 Dec 2008) – Part 1

Short note: When I was going to write posts about my trip to Indonesia last December, then I notice my disc which contains all my Indonesia Trip’s pictures is left behind in Kuching.. I guess you guys will have to wait till this coming April for my exotic Indonesia Trip’s posts then.. Stay tune..

I did mentioned in one of my earlier scheduled posts last year, here, that I was going to Damai beach with my friends.. and so I did..

Well, in Kuching, Damai beach is considered as one of the tourist spot even though it’s just a plain beach resort which can be found in many countries.. However, we will beg to differ as Kuchingites when you say it’s normal to have a beach resort like that.. Simple reason is, in Kuching, we don’t have any beach around us and the best and nearest beach would be Damai beach which only take us a 45minutes drive..

Well, if you are going to a beach resort without any companion, it will be dull.. and definitely, I won’t be going to that place alone ‘cause it does seemed scary to stay in a resort alone especially when you are at beach..

*assuming a lot of ghost stories had been told that happened nearby the beach and some even claimed that beach has higher “Yin” (darkness) compared to any other place*

Of course, I’m not saying that Damai beach is haunted.. I’m just making self assumption and I do think the same way to every single beach resort all around the world.. Call me a “chicken”.. Talking about ghost creeps me out but I do like to listen though.. *giggles*

Anyway, let me show you the pictures taken at Damai beach resort (not Damai Puri).. I was told that Damai Puri is another beach resort in Damai.. So, this is just plainly “Damai Beach Resort”..

Okay.. This is the bed! D-uh! Anyway, I forgotten to take pictures around the chalet ‘cause I’m too excited to see the beach..

.. and so we went to the beach..

.. and that’s how the beach resort looks like (not the fellow, of course, behind him).. we stayed at a Chalet but didn’t take any picture of it.. teehee~~

.. and then the beach.. it ain’t a white sandy beach like other beaches but it’s safe to play at there still..

.. and random shot taken around the surrounding.. looks like the weather ain’t that good that time..

.. but, at least, we managed to build a sand “Myvi” before the tide came in..

Since the tide came in.. we changed our location to the swimming pool.. It’s the end of the year, the monsoon season.. We did not want to risk our lives playing at the beach when the waves were super big..

Short note: Whoa.. Long time didn’t write any post liao.. Looks like there were some of my readers asking me why I did not update my blog for quite some times.. Some even wonder whether I had stopped blogging or not..

Well, all I have to say is that I was busy holidaying.. Holiday does not mean I have nothing to do.. In fact, I do more thing during my holidays.. Of course, laze around is one of the thing to do but, seriously, you just can’t imagine how busy I was..

Well, I’ll go into what I’d done this holiday as soon as I finish choosing all those pictures I’d taken at various place..

Yuni’s birthday – Kuching Edition

Before anything, I would like to wish my girlfriend, Yuni, a very happy birthday.. It’s her birthday today but my responsibility to give her a best celebration since she’s in my territory, Kuching..

I’d been planning for this for quite a long time.. but plan didn’t work as I’d planned..

Ok.. let’s just say.. I screwed up most of the things.. I’d been planning this for long already.. and this is how it goes..

The first mission is to let her feel very distant from me.. Yeah yeah.. I’d been doing some evil stuffs.. trying to show her that I forgot her birthday and also showing her that I’m keeping myself busy during this Chinese New Year before she comes..

I did pretty well on this very first mission.. In fact, she told me that this plan makes her down a thousand feet.. I guess it’s a taboo to this stuff to someone you love as they love you so much too..

Okay.. second mission is on her birthday eve which was yesterday.. I went out with her together with one of my foster bro to my ex-high school.. Then went for lunch and dropped her back at my house.. and from there.. the hide and seek work began..

I went to buy a cake and kept it in my brother’s fridge.. and I tried getting a present for her.. Went searching everywhere but just couldnt find the right thing for her birthday.. I’m not creative in that field.. So.. in the end.. I found this pen..

Saw the “UNI” word?! Yaya.. I heard “cheapskate” from a distance now.. but hey.. it’s something about her.. It’s part of her name.. Uni.. I told myself I am so going to give her as present.. I know.. It’s not a very expensive pen and it has nothing special about this pen.. but to me.. IT IS! It, at least, has the name “Uni” on it!

Oh ya.. about the ribbon.. I asked my brother to help me tie it.. I’m not good in handicraft and I got sweaty palm the whole day long.. So, to make it easier, I asked my brother to help out.. Thanks to him for helping me out a lot today..

And so after everything.. I kept it behind her and pretended not knowing her birthday.. Until 11++pm, I went to my brother’s house to take the cake with the reason “going out yum cha with a friend”.. and I got back with the reason “he put me aeroplane”..

I didn’t know whether that tricks work on her or not but well.. I still fail in the end..

After back with the cake “hidden” in the fridge, my father and I along with her went for a supper and we came back after 12++am today.. And I still keep my “Happy birthday” wish to her until I bring out the cake for her.. which practically means I’m not the first one to greet her a “Happy birthday” (another failure)..

and so.. upon receiving her cake.. made her wish.. and blew the candle off..

Whee!! My dear is coming to Kuching.. Finally!! After about two months not seeing each other physically (only see through webcam), we are going to see each other again tonight..

Gosh.. Can’t wait to fetch her at the airport.. Thinking so much about her reminds me the time we started out each other.. and, of course, watching the video made by her definitely makes it nostalgic!

It’s been a while since I see advertisement of DiGi Music Telegram all around the blogosphere and I did not really put it at good use.. And surprisingly, I got a surprised call last week early in the morning (just woke up) from a MyFM DJ, DJ Fei Bi telling me that there’s a song dedication from my girlfriend “Yuchelia” and wanted me hear the message dedicated from her..

Well, my girlfriend is not in Malaysia currently which made them unable to contact her and instead of calling her, they called me.. I was like “stunned” for a moment when a lady called me and said she’s from MyFM.. I thought what trouble I got into.. and there.. DJ Fei Bi passed the message to me.. Though I couldn’t really hear the message clearly but I felt the message is so sweet and I was so touching..

And soon after that, I found out that this Music Telegram is an awesome thingy.. Guess what?! I found the message dedicated from my girlfriend from the “Previous Dedication” log..

I know that you’d say “NOT AGAIN?!” I’m pretty sure that a lot of bloggers all around the world had written a post to greet everyone with their warmest wishes for this Chinese New Year..

If you are thinking that I might to something different.. then.. I might have disappoint you.. Oh well.. Guys!! I’m here to wish you all a Happy Chinese New Year Too..

Time actually passed kinda fast.. and like I always said.. we’re fighting with the time.. flowing in different direction.. but I guess, it aint all so bad.. Chinese New Year is like “TOMORROW!”.. I mean it really is TOMORROW!

I can’t wait to celebrate this Chinese New Year in the year of 2009!! Well, basically, I’m going to celebrate this new year.. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE.. celebrate from the 1st day of Chinese New Year till “Chap Goh Meh” (15th day of Chinese New Year) without being frustrated for the need of attending for class or anything likewise..

Oh man.. I’m sure I have to treasure this 15 days of Chinese New Year.. There are various of things happening around me lately.. and was not able to update it.. Not forget to mention that I even owe my readers for my December updates..

Well, Just to make this a short one.. I hereby wish everyone 新年快乐 (“Happy Chinese New Year”) and 恭喜发财 (“Gong Xi Fa Cai”).. I’m pretty sure the “Cow” will be kinda busy this year.. Everyone will just pop in and out with Happy “Niu (牛)” Year when they do house visiting..

Of course, if you are still at the legal age for “Ang Pao”, I wish you to have more and more “Ang Pao” as legal age pass kinda fast..
And if you are a married couple, wish you have a happily ever after life at all time..

Bambu Haur Restaurant – Jakarta

As I promised long long time ago in one of my previous post, I’ll post one by one about my trip in Jakarta.. Well, it’s been a month plus after that short post.. So, to not make you complain more about a blank promise, I’ll cut the crap and show you the nice environment of Bambu Haur Restaurant in Jakarta..

I’m not really sure about the location of this restaurant but we entered this restaurant while we were in our journey to Pangandaran Beach.. We took our lunch out of no where (typically, I am always not good with direction..) but I was surprised to see the environment.. I would say FABULOUS for such a place..

Imagine walking into a cozy restaurant in a “kampung” (village).. (well, that’s how I felt though..)

Yes, I can’t deny that the look from the outside looked pretty normal.. In fact, not as cozy as you thought..

But the moment we entered the restaurant.. We started to think differently about the place..

It’s undeniable that the place is a bit warm since it’s not air-conditioned, but who cares, cozy doesn’t has to be air-conditioned at all time.. As long as you’re comfortable with it, the you will be fine with it!

I know, I know.. You must have thought I was kidding with you telling you how cozy it was but in the end it’s only the beautiful landscape that amazed me.. but to tell you the truth, in Malaysia, we can’t actually find a restaurant that is well designed in the middle of nowhere.. Mostly, we’re able to see some normal restaurant with simple and typical design only..

One remarkable thing about this place is that there are few houses next to the restaurant and I was thinking that the restaurant, most probably, belongs to the landlord there..

I am kinda impress with Indonesians crafting works and their creativity.. They are really good in it.. Well, I guess that’s how you should be when you are struggling yourself to make living in such a big and populated country..

Since it’s a restaurant, time to see the Menu..

Don’t be surprised with the number of “0” zero behind all those figure.. I was shocked everytime I look at the menu in Indonesia, no matter how many time I’d look at it..

Well, even though, the restaurant is well-known for their “Ikan Bakar”, we didn’t really eat their “Ikan Bakar” (if.. I didn’t recall wrongly.. sigh.. can’t blame Harry’s lousy memory..)

Well, most people has their cold dishes as their appetizer.. As for us?! Our appetizers are those “Keropok” or better known as cracker in English.. Well, I don’t know much about those cracker as I personally didn’t eat much of it as it’ll thirst me very fast!

Well, we tried out some of their course meal.. It taste quite nice.. And the fried fish are super duper crispy..

About the candle?! Well, a lot of restaurant in Indonesia used candle to prevent flies from coming.. I don’t know how effective it is, but I am pretty sure it work because I don’t really see much flies coming to us even though “their” favourite dishes were there..

ITADAKIMASU!! Time to EAT!!

Well, that’s pretty much about how the restaurant is.. If you really need to know where the place is located, I would have to ask my girlfriend since she’s more familiar with the place.. Teehee~~

Reason African women should be scared of

There's a lot of reasons why we should be afraid of something.. People got some trauma after some serious incidents happened to them for some times and slowly it became a hidden memory, yet a horrifying memory..

For example, like me, since small, I'd always afraid of playing basketball or even football.. I got traumatized by them just simply because I always got hit by the ball by just standing or walking by the field.. I have no idea why, but the ball just came right at my face and "POOOP!" at my head and I went "!@$#@#@^@$" (cursing) after that.. and slowly.. trauma became phobia.. I guess I am now afraid of those balls ~~not the human balls of course~~..

So, back to the topic.. why I said there's a reason that why African woman should be scared of?!

I'd say afraid of the ~~Dicks Cocks Cunts~~ MEN there in Africa..

One of the eye-catchy event will be the Cosplay competition.. Malaysia's youth are now getting more animated!! I should say that they had brought animation to life!

I wish I will be there because the event is TOTALLY FREE (maybe not all but I guess most of it..) FREE ADMISSION and MANY MANY MORE ACTIVITIES.. (Terms and Condition applied, of course..)

There will be a lot of competitions, besides Cosplay competition, during the event which includes FUTSAL competition, Basketball Challenge, Extreme Street Dance Challenge, Expression Photography Challenge, Battle of the Bands 2 and many many more..

BE SURE NOT TO MISS IT!!

You see people torturing themselves by poking needles to their nose, eye, tongue, everywhere on the body and face and even their ~~penis~~ ~~vagina~~ "private part".. If you say that's fashion too, I'll say "BULLSHIT".. Oh, by the way, they called it piercing.. I call it nonsense..

Piercing on ear is quite fine to me.. but piercing elsewhere?! I'm not too sure about that.. Some people suits with piercing but some people just don't get it.. The more they pierce, the more monster look they are.. They look just so inhuman..

Whoa.. 2008 is one busy yet lazy year for me.. I think I am kinda useless this year.. I didn't do much.. Nothing outstanding.. Felt like I am a junk of rubbish for the whole year now..

However, few notable things happened this year are definitely meeting new friends virtually and in real-life, bought a lot of shirts to add in to my overflowing wardrobe, won as an iTalentStar country champion, visited Jakarta twice, went to Genting Highlands for more than 5 times, etc..

The most notable things that occurred is I have this wonderful girl by my side (literally) who always supports me and loves me even though I am not that adoring.. Signing 2nd May 2008, we started our relationship.. From "Single and available" turning into "Single yet unavailable" status is definitely one big difference to my life.. I'm not that lone wolf anymore and I have someone who I can lean on whenever I needed to.. I have to make an adjustment for myself as I'd always live like an "unwanted" guy and a lifeless guy who always hug the computer even until bedtime..

Not all relationships are as wonderful as we thought.. Of course, we have to endure all those sour, bitter, spicy or perhaps salty moment of our life together.. All arguments are made necessarily to make both parties to understand each other deeper.. To reach to the bottom line, one has to be passionate and be patient to each other.. Sometimes, arguing makes me feel like I'm in a relationship.. Arguing shows we are concerned with each others words and feelings.. In simple word, we care for each other..

OK.. I guess I should not dwell more about 2008.. It's going to be a new year after today.. and I'm looking forward for this new year.. 2009.. Here I come..

1. DSLR Camera (The TuaKi Camera) for capturing precious moment.. for clearer resolution..

Short Update: Busy Holiday-ing

Sorry guys, must had made you all waiting for my new post.. Unfortunately, I'm not updating anything new for today but to inform my whereabouts and what makes me so busy.. and of course, don't worry.. Harry is still alive and breathing well..

I have like 3months of semester break and 1month++ had already passed.. Talking about time, we just can't make it stop.. Sigh.. I need more time.. How I wish I have 48 hours per day.. I am sure I'll be able to update my things here by then..

Ok.. So, what had I been busy with?!

I'd been busy babysitting, lazy about, watching drama series, playing Kuwakchai web based game (kinda an addiction), hanging out with my family and friends (endless appointment), chatting, shopping for Chinese New Year clothes, and also managing iStream Radio (my online radio)..

Whoa.. Long list ain't it?! Soon, I gotta have a cleaning spree for my house.. Well, you know, Chinese New Year is just around the corner..

Have you ever wonder if prostitution can be legal?!

Well, if you said "Yes!" then you are half right.. Not everywhere on earth had legalized prostitution.. If you asked whether Malaysia has any legal area for prostitution, the answer is a big "NO!"..

In some country they drew a boundary where prostitution and other businesses in sex industry are legalized.. They call this area or district as the red-light district.. In Malaysia, where the populations are kept in a box, may not know much about this red-light district unless they go search around in the Internet about it..

Wonder why some country had legalized prostitution in the red-light district?!

Simple as it may seemed, prostitution may decrease the crime rate for case such as sex abusing or raping.. Well, let me draw an example for you.. Imagine you are passionate to have sex and you have no idea where to have sex.. You would most probably ended up stalking some pretty ladies to have sex with them.. and when they rejected you, you rape them?! Anyway, that's just a joke..

I mean, come on.. I think prostitution is like any other businesses where you earn money to fill up your tummy or to support your family.. Some people, specifically ladies, when they have no qualification for any job such as accountant or even clerk, they have no other choices but to sell they "property"..

I don't really think they sell themselves because they wanted to.. In most cases, they have bad family backgrounds.. Imagine you have to repay your father's debt for betting the whole family assets in the casino and the loan shark come chasing after you for the bloody money.. You may say "I'll have some other way to get the money!".. But some people are just not as fortunate as we are.. They got no choice but to sell them off..

Of course, if you are belonged to someone else already.. You should not think of going to such place.. It never ended up "Happily Ever After" when you do that.. and I am not asking you to go visit them cause you have the money and you are still a bachelor.. What I think we should do is to treat them like normal people like us.. Com' on.. They are human also right?! They didn't take knife and point it to you and say "GIVE ME MONEY!!".. They also "work" for money also..

Ward off "Special Visitors" in the Hotel

Often as we may heard, hotel usually reserves one or more rooms for those "special visitors" aka GHOST or SPIRITs or whatever you called it.. I don't know how to it is but I often hear that every single hotel should have at least a permanent room which should be left vacant at all times.. No matter how full the hotel is, they are not to sell that room(s) to any guest..

That's why never insist for a room when the receptionist told you that there's no more vacant room available.. Don't even think of bribing them to do so.. If you do that, you'll most probably get yourself in trouble for sharing the same room with the "special visitors".. Spooky?! Well, I believed it happened though..

I think this is just the right time to spread the words as most of the people out there are having their term or semester break and enjoying the family outings..

You may had received these tips before in your forwarded mail but this is to share for those who had not received this before.. Sometimes those "special visitors" might go to other rooms also, so here's some TIPS on how to protect yourself:

- Before entering your room, always knock on the door first, even you know the room is vacant.

- After you enter the room, if you felt very cold suddenly and have "chicken spore", leave the room quietly and immediately and go to the reception to request for a change of room. Most of the time the receptionist will understand what's happening.

- After you enter the room, immediately switch on all of the lights, and draw the curtains to let the sun light in.

- Before you go to bed, arrange your shoes so that one of them is upside down. Some say this is representing yin & yang to protect you while you're asleep.

- Always leave at least a lamp on while you're sleeping, preferably the toilet's lamp.

- If you're staying alone and they have give you a twin bed, do not sleep with the other bed vacant, try to put your things like luggage on the other bed before you sleep.

P/S: I hold no responsibility if these tips do not work on you.. and if you do not believe it, you may always use the tips another way round to see how true it is.. Do drop more tips if you have some more to share with others..

Short Update: Back from Indonesia

Previously, I mentioned that I was going to Jakarta and now I am back.. Well, actually I came back to Kuching last Saturday night at about 11pm and I'd so much things to check on the net.. my mail.. my blog.. and all sorts of stuffs.. I checked till so late that I didn't have a good rest yet..

I regret to announce my disappearance again for this coming 3 days as I'll be going to Damai (one of Kuching's tourist attractions) tomorrow.. There's a lot to share with you all about my Jakarta Trip and will have tonnes of picture to show you all.. However, many pictures had yet to filtered from whole loads of photo..

But ,I guess, I'll make a sneak peek about my upcoming post about Jakarta.. I don't know when I'll be updating it but I'll definitely update it when I'm free..

The REN Building is a proposal for a hotel, sports and conference center for the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai . The building is conceived as two buildings merging into one. The first building, emerging from the water, is devoted to the activities of the body, and houses the sports and water culture center. The second building emerging from land, is devoted to the spirit and enlightment, and houses the conference center and meeting facilities. The two buildings meet in a 1000 room hotel, a building for living. The building becomes the Chinese sign for 'The People', and a recognizable landmark for the World Expo in China

How to translate your NAME

Often as you might had seen before.. You get to see various type of shop names.. However, in a multi-racial country.. One problem is.. You may have to own three name for your shops or company.. English, Chinese, and Malay..

It sounded easy to translate heh?!

Let's say we have a shop named "Magic".. When we translate it to Malay Language, it'll become "Magik".. and we translate it to Chinese as "魔术" (Mo Shu which means Magic in Mandarin)..

But what if your shop name is your name?! How you going to translate it?!

Before knowing how, let us analyze this shop name..

I believe this shop owner started off with a chinese name called "森美" (Sen Mei in pinyin).. No particular meaning, therefore, we can't translate it to an English name or a Malay name.. So, judging from the name, perhaps, that fellow has an English name called "Sammy".. Well, Sammy is quite a normal name regardless how we look at it..

Now, the funny thing is when we starting to translate it to a Malay name.. From Sammy, we translate it to "Sami" in Malay language.. "Sami" in Malay language literally means "Monk" in English.. From a name became a monk.. How funny a name can be translated..

But couldn't blame the shop owner.. Perhaps, that's how they translate name long long time ago (judging from the shop la..)..

I can't imagine translating a name like "阿国" (Ah Guo in chinese pinyin) to an English name which became "Ah Cock".. and translate it again to a Malay name.. "Ah Ayam".. Fulamak!! If that happens, I will laugh till I pengsan la..

Anyway, sometimes, I think just straight away use back same name can liao la.. What's the point of translating when it became a ~~fucking~~ funny name..

Short Post: Going to Jakarta again

Holiday will never be perfect if we didn't go traveling.. Aiya.. In fact no need go far far also can one.. Like in Kuching, we travel to "Damai Beach" which is just less than an hour drive is already considered as enjoying our "holiday" liao..

I'd been to Jakarta before last time and will be going to Jakarta again in few hours later.. Due to my disappearance, I'll schedule some post with some pictures for you to read while I am not around..

All this while, ants appear to be very tiny in our world.. But what's in their world, we won't know.. We saw how animation had portray their lives like what we saw at "AntZ" and "The bug's life", and how discovery told us about their life..

Such a tiny life.. We often think that they are very irritating and disturbing.. Especially you saw your lovely foods being owned by them.. But what can we actually learn from them?!

They march in a troop.. They in a troop.. They are loyal to the queen.. and Most importantly, they are very co-operative.. Team work is what I should say.. Why human can't be as much co-operative as they do huh?! I wonder.. Hmm..

Rynn Lim Promo Tour @ Kuching

Last Saturday (29/11/2008), I received a SMS from Jimmy telling him to meet him up to get the entrance ticket for Rynn Lim aka 林宇中 (Lin Yu Zhong)'s Promo Tour at Kuching which I had "acted quickly" to send the email as requested.. Ticket giveaway detail can be found here..

In the SMS, Jimmy told me to meet him up at "Kado Cafe" to redeem the ticket from 3.30pm to 5pm, but unfortunately, I couldn't make it within that time as I had personal thing to do with my cousins.. Luckily, Jimmy, the good person, allowed me to redeem my ticket after 5pm as I told him I will only be free from 5++PM onwards..

And so, after redeeming my ticket, I went off straight away to get myself prepare for a house warming at my relative's place.. I will get that update soon.. either tomorrow or day after..

There.. With this ticket, I went to Rynn Lim's Promo Tour which was located at "SUPP HQ" in Kuching yesterday.. Looking at the location, I thought it will be quite a small place to hold the Promo Tour there as I had always thought the Hall is kinda small.. Well, it wasn't.. it's not really small but it ain't really big as well.. Just nice for a Promo Tour, I think..

Whoa.. When I first reached there at about 6++pm, it was already packed with people.. Sea of people.. That path is quite small and HOT but Rynn Lim's fans still waited patiently in front of the main door to get the best seat to see Rynn Lim..

While the fans are busy ~~squeezing pok mong-ing~~ queuing, chatting, and sweating, the staffs also had to sweat themselves among the crowds to promote Rynn Lim and JJ Lin aka Lin Jun Jie albums.. The prices they sold there are cheaper compared to the normal prices and comes with promotional items..

One of the promoters/sales girls look at my direction as I kept trying to get a good shot of that place 'cause the lighting there ain't really good..

When it was almost 7pm, the crews opened the door to let Rynn Lim's fans to ~~push each other~~ rush in to get their best seats..

All of them quickly rushed in and passed their tickets to the ticket collector and got their best seats..

It wasn't really full in the hall at first when I went in there.. There were still quite a number of empty seats..

And since the "show" had yet to start so early (as expected), I went around to take some more pictures of the crowd.. and took a picture of the backdrop banner on the stage..

After standing for quite some times, I felt tired.. and I went to the front seats to test my luck whether I can still get a good view of the stage.. And so I did.. got a seat for myself and I at the second row..

I sat down.. and turned my head.. and I spotted this lady sat next to me.. (YES.. Just right to me..)

I was so surprised and shocked when I saw her.. even jumped up a while.. and she laughed the hell out of me.. she said, "You should see your expression when you saw me!"

and I went =.=" (swtz).. How embarrassing to portray my "shocking" face to a lady.. Hahaz.. Anyway, we talked a bit and I saw another empty seat at the first row and asked Evelyn whether that seat in front was empty or not and she told me that she saw no one sitting there since the beginning..

Before I moved to the front seat, I asked one of Rynn's fans who had purchased his "干物世界 (Gan Wu Shi Jie)" album to pose and let me take a picture of her with her beloved album..

Ya.. She rejected my offer and so, instead, she lend me her album to take a picture of it.. How nice that lady.. Didn't got to know her name.. After that I moved to the front seat and snapped few more pictures..

After snapped and snapped.. the real event started.. Started with a kick ass MC, our local MC, Mr. Liang Qiang (if I didn't spelled it wrongly..)

If I didn't recall wrongly, he was one of the Astro Talent Quest participant of don't know which year.. (Can't blame me for my lousy memory.. I am well known for it already.. Hahaz..)

As usual, before the artiste arrive, the MC will asked few audiences to answer few questions or play games to fill in the waiting time..

This first participant gave me a strong impression.. She was asked by the MC to sing one song in Lin Yu Zhong's latest album which is "Gan Wu Shi Jie".. She sang 远远 "Yuan Yuan (Far Far in English)" and she actually sang it pretty well.. I guess she must had prepared this for quite a while before Rynn Lim come to do his promo tour in Kuching..

Soon it got packed with people..

After calling 8 participants, Mr. Liang Qiang invited one of the My FM DJ to do the next host for Rynn Lim.. DJ Wen Kang (If I didn't spell it wrongly..)..

I laughed my ass off when I saw his appearance and I had prepared for the worst for jokes coming from him judging by his face.. He is a lively dude despite his "nerdy" look and he entertained his audiences well.. including me, of course..

He then invited the main character of the night..

He sang very well despite his flu and cough.. Since this was his last stop of his promo tour, he was asked more questions than ever by DJ Wen Kang.. One of it was did Lin Yu Zhong dated Kuching girl before.. and Lin Yu Zhong replied "I never dated Kuching girl before and only started dating at the age of 20++ and I actually dated girl from West Malaysia"

Few of the audiences were also invited to the stage and they were asked to sing one song from Rynn's latest album.. They were all very lively and natural when they were on the stage.. I didn't see stage fright in them and in fact, they were all good..

Lin Yu Zhong sang 3 songs from his "Gan Wu Shi Jie" album namely "干物女 (Gan Wu Nu)", "远远 (Yuan Yuan)" and "改嫁 (Gai Jia)" and one song from his old album with the title "靠岸 (Kao An)"..

Two thumbs up for him.. He coughed a few times but it did not affect his vocal at all.. I guess that's what we call "home sick" as he was coming home and he caught a flu..

After singing, time to put his signature on his album for all his fans at the promo tour..

I was very honoured to be able to stand on the stage to take a close picture of him as a "Kuching Blogger" like any other reporter does..

Even people who sold their own bodies to medical research centre also make sure that their family will receive the money when they died.. Two weeks ago, on a fine Saturday night, and in the midst of exam, I went to Shabu-Shabu Restaurant with my girlfriend and friends.. Like I always said, when stress level shooting high up, and so is our weight.. Agree with me even if you are not food addict when it comes to stress times/hours!!

At times, we crave for food due to the energy that we wished to use to memorize those unnecessary stuffs for those ~~cheap~~ pieces of certificates which are yet costly to get it.. Sometimes, because of those ~~cheap lousy~~ certificates, we even wished to have a ticket to HEAVEN due to those stressful and hectic routine of a student..

OK, let's just skip about how stressful life can be.. Now let us think about FOOD FOOD FOOD!! Well, to me, food does satisfies me when I am depress or stressful.. I don't know about you.. However, if you are craving for food, Shabu-Shabu Restaurant aka Restoran Shabu-Shabu aka “强强滚”(Qiang Qiang Gun) will definitely be the hotspot for you to check it out..

So, what's so special about this restaurant?! Of course, every restaurant's purpose is to serve food but they differ in the way of services, foods, drinks, ambience, and ~~hot waitress/waiter~~ prices..

Here at Shabu-Shabu Restaurant, you will be able to get variety choices of foods, from vegetables to meats, meats to seafood.. They do serve normal dishes such as fry foods, noodles and something that's similar to other restaurant.. But what makes them so special is actually their Japanese Style Steamboat BUFFET!!

I know guy like me should not crave for too much buffet already due to my ~~disgusting~~ excessive fats I have around me.. However, I can't help but to try it.. It looked simply delicious to me!!

Look what I ate.. Don't you complain it doesn't look delicious.. I didn't take culinary arts.. I don't know how to make the food "looks" nice.. Anyway, we had free flow of drinks (choices of green tea, pink guava juice, orange juice and more to name)

I believe you saw those dishes served on the belt just like those you saw at Sushi King on one of the picture above.. Indeed, those raw foods are served on the belt.. Apart from that, there's a waiter/waitress who will move around in the center of the belt, taking fried dishes around and ask you, "你要炸的吗? (Do you want fried one?)"

I practically make a joke about it with my friend and told him that the lady or waitress asked him whether he wanted to "zha" her or not.. Inside joke.. Pun intended..

Anyway, food there were way too much for me and seriously.. unlimited.. I was seriously bloated due to over consumption of seafood and meats... Gosh!

There were few waitress who were considered efficient enough to clear the tables and to serve the crowds swiftly.. But most of the people there were busy eating as we, Malaysian, like the word "EAT ALL YOU CAN".. Seriously, how much can you eat?!

Oh.. and I even asked my friend and wondered whether they can earn from such business.. He gave me one SIMPLE reason, "Of course, they gain profits from this, else they'd bankrupt before we even come to eat".. Then I went *sweats =.="* True also la..

I didn't bothered much and I just tried to finish up the food that I took and cooked in the boat (from the word steamboat).. According to most of the buffet rules, you have to PAY for what you can't FINISH and WASTE the foods.. Clever people like me will just take the portion that I can finish and choose worthy servings to eat..

'Nuff said!!

So how much does it cost?! RM26++ after tax per pax.. Not really expensive for such a steamboat buffet, I should say..

I heard that there are few branches in Klang Valley but the one I tried is located somewhere around Puchong or some say Bandar Puteri if I didn't recall wrongly.. Correct me if I am wrong..

Past Busy Week Update

For those who had been wondering why this Harry had slowed down the process of posting more post of him himself and other eye candies or interesting stuffs.. Well, simple excuses for me will be I had a busy week..

I was in the midst of exam as most of you had knew it last week and I am glad it's finally over now.. I'm having my semester break now for 3 months!!! And I will only be going back to KL after Chinese New Year.. Now that's what I call a VACATION!!

Anyway, after my last piece of paper on last Friday, I took a night flight on the same day itself back to Kuching together with my cousin.. It was a rushing day and that last paper was kinda tough compared to all other papers I took.. Well, people used to say, "Save the best for the last" does not really apply here.. It's like freaking tough and it's a paper on "ENGLISH".. I guess my English ain't that good huh?

Skip those fussy exam stuffs since talking about it just makes me feel stress again.. Well, I had a great weekend hanging out with my auntie and, my lovely and adorable cousin after coming back to Kuching.. Well, I should say I took a time-out for myself and went really on "holiday" mode or some say "lazy" mode..

We had a nice family dinner..

While at it, I camwhore along as well.. This is me and my niece.. She's like glue to me.. and I think that auntie behind me wanna be in the picture along as well, no?

And had a group photo.. Notice the newcomers?! That's my second sister with her hubby and her baby boy, my another nephew.. Don't complain how dirty and messy the table is.. That's what happen when table is too small for such a "big" family..

After my auntie and cousins flew back to Miri, all my busy days left were actually baby sitting.. I am proud of it!! Well, reason is not many likes to take care of babies.. Simply frustrating and irritating with babies around.. But, hey, there are lots of happy moments with them too..

Let me show you how adorable they are ~~like me~~..

Alycia Phang.. My niece.. The first grandchild of my parents.. Born in Malaysia.. 2 years old ++ this year.. Owned by my eldest sister.. My glue.. Likes to cry but make me sayang her very much..

Alwyn Phang.. My nephew.. The second grandchild of my parents.. Born in Malaysia also.. 1 year old ++ this year.. Also owned by my eldest sister.. Likes to act cute but doesn't want people to hug him or touch him..

Lee Zhi Qin.. My another nephew.. The third grandchild of my parents.. Also born in Malaysia.. 1 year old ++ this year.. Younger than Alwyn by 1 month++.. Owned by my second sister.. He can sing "Twinkle twinkle little star" a little bit.. Impressive.. Code name: Pooh!

Another funny incident happened yesterday.. I was doing my shopping with my baby niece at "The Spring" mall (most classy mall in Kuching, up-to-date) and then went to Big Apple to buy doughnuts.. Before paying the doughnuts, my baby niece rushed me to go to the toilet 'cause she needed to pee.. EMERGENCY!! So, I dropped my shopped things on the counter and told the cashier staff that I'll be back to pay for it later and take my things along..

And so I did.. went to the toilet.. and met my sister's friend, Eric in the toilet cleaning his son's butt 'cause his son shitted (duh?~!).. Such a coincidence meeting in the toilet.. He invited me to join along his wife, Erin's birthday cake eating session.. It was Erin's birthday and it was really an unplanned trip to join them along.. So, I brought Alycia along with me to join them to eat the cake..

Look at her busy eating.. and the lil kid next to me is ~~Ranfred~~ Renfred(didn't know how to spell his name correctly..)

Also, saw another baby boy..

Bought a new phone, Test the new phone..

I'd mentioned some times ago about the day I lost my precious Nokia N82 mobile phone which was a prize that I wont from iTalentStar on few previous post.. Well, guess what?! I bought a new phone last Friday, and I am telling you that I'm loving it..

Getting supports from my family and friends, I was able to move on even though I lost my previous phone.. It's a history to me already.. and nope.. It's still missing and cannot be found anymore, I think..

Luckily, my father gave me a green light to buy a new handset.. and I was like facing dilemma for buying Nokia N79 or Nokia N82 (my old love) back.. and so I did a bit of research on both phones.. Both of the specifications are similar but Nokia N79 which is a newer model definitely has more new functions compared to the last one, Nokia N82..

After considering for so "long", I ended up buying back my old love last last Friday, 14th November 2008.. My Nokia N82.. However, this time, my phone turned into charcoal and not silver-ish anymore.. asking around for the prices, everyone gave me RM1,700 and above for ORIGINAL set, and RM1,250++ for AP set or some say supplier set.. Difference between ORIGINAL and AP sets is the warranty.. ORIGINAL sets' warranty is given by Nokia Malaysia itself, and AP sets' warranty is given by the supplier/shop themselves.. (Correct me if I am wrong)

The lucky things that happened was there's one of the shopkeeper or promoter gave me a very very fair price for ORIGINAL set.. RM1,580.. I was like "WHOA!".. I really tried to ask a lot of shops at Sg. Wang and BB Plaza, but they gave me the same price as almost every other shops.. To confirm whether it's original or not, I checked everything labeled, IMEI, Zitron stickers on every accessories and phone.. Everything seemed kinda real to me.. So I bought it..

It's quite hard to confirm it is original for me as this is the first time I bought phone by myself.. All this while, parents bought it and they never really purchase original set because we were not aware the vast difference between AP and original set..

To make the story shorter, I tested my new phone's camera on Sg. Wang Plaza event.. Taken few photos at the Gundam related event "BAKUC CHALLENGE 2008"..

So, taken few pictures using the new phone.. and I used Macro mode and Scenery Mode..

Outdated Poster.. Dated year 2007.. Mobile Suit Gundam..

There were tonnes of people looking at those miniature and also people who purchase the miniature set as well..

The miniature not cheap okay?! Most of them are above RM100 and we still have to install it ourselves..

But to my surprise, mostly who purchased it are not teenagers but middle-aged guys and a lot of uncles buying it also.. I guess Gundam had made a breakthrough long before I was born.. Looking at those uncles' faces', it reminded me how happy a kid can be when they were rewarded sweets and candies..

After taking those pictures, I went to Times Square for my favourite Green Tea Frappucino at Starbucks regardless what promotion they are offering..

The Starbucks barrista was hilarious.. I asked him until what time Starbucks close.. he replied "24hours for today sir, just for you sir since you are a Starbucks fans and even with a Starbucks T-shirt on.." and I was like =.=" so embarrassing..

After sipping at Starbucks, my friends came to find and we went to watch Quarantine..

I recommend all of you go and watch it.. It's not as bad as Cloverfield,even though it is the first man's view.. It looks really thrilling and the plotting was good.. Thumbs up for this movie.. I would rate this movie the most thrilling and best horror movie this year, up-to-date..

Ok, no more emo post from me today.. There were actually few peoples who always read my blog e-mailed me or even messaged me in MSN to ask what's wrong with me as I'd posted so many emo post! Just to clarify with everyone else, Harry got no problem.. Just that, some times, feelings should be shared with others to let others know what you are thinking..

Now back to the main topic for today.. Flaunting Your Breast?! Remember what I said about what goes around, comes around?! Now, I received this hilarious mail regarding two "idealists" about flaunting breast.. One is about the teenager and another is about the grandmother..

It is a trend, nowadays, to flaunt a bit of the ~~meaty vibrating smooth~~ breast part to be a bit more showy in the public.. However, the older citizens still don't think that it's the best and right thing to do.. It's just too over showing compares to their time where they cover most of their parts..

Oh, I read few articles too.. Who knows, one of the reason youngster nowadays used lesser clothing and showing or flaunting more of their "sexy" parts are actually due to the global warming.. Too hot till they used lesser clothes..

A teenage granddaughter comes downstairs for her date with this see-through blouse on and no bra.

Her grandmother just pitched a fit, telling her not to dare go out like that!

The teenager tells her, "Loosen up Grams. These are modern times. You gotta let your rose buds show!" and out she goes.

The next day the teenager comes down stairs, and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on. The teenager feel like to dying looking at her half nude grandmother.

She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just not appropriate....

History of Harry's mystery

To understand what happened, you must read the previous post first..

So what's behind Harry's mystery?!

It all started when he was studying in Brunei, Chung Ching Primary School.. School life to Harry wasn't as happy as he had in his childhood compared to the time when he went back to Kuching and studied there.. He was bullied since he was at the primary school by ~~an asshole bastard "si gina"~~ another boy.. (I'll refer that fellow as "Mr. JJJ" from here onwards)..

So, basically, Mr. JJJ always bully Harry until Harry wet his pillow after he came back from the miserable school.. As usual, Harry pretended nothing in front of his friends and in front of that Mr. JJJ's face.. (showing how "kiasu" and "si ai bin" he is..) but in fact, deep inside, it hurts a lot to him.. It makes him pointless going to school where that Mr. JJJ is like ruling the class.. That Mr. JJJ's father is actually one of the guy in the school's board (as in someone who got power to do things).. And due to that reason, some of the ~~asshole bastard~~ teachers licked Mr. JJJ's shoe to get good impression to that fellow's father..

As for Harry, that pity kid, his existence in the teachers' eyes is merely nothing but a small little tiny dust.. Luckily, Harry still had his friends behind him, supporting him to move on through those unhappy days.. There are, of course, some other teacher who took notice of Harry's talent and even tried polishing it especially his art teachers (primary 1 one was such an ass but the rest were fine) and computer teacher (she knew Harry was good in computer)..

Harry still remembers that there was once, Mr. JJJ was talking out loud with his best friend in the class and when the teacher asked them to keep quiet, they pointed at Harry who was very very innocent.. Sitting quietly, alone, got scolded by that stupid idiot teacher for nothing.. Taking all blame.. and keeping the hatred deep inside himself.. And just wet the pillow when he got back..

Harry did not try to defense himself at all as he know it's totally futile to do so as Mr. JJJ is like a gold to that teacher while Harry was just a dull gold which was rather unnoticeable..

After staying 10 years in Brunei, Harry finally moved back to Kuching at year 2002 and continue his studies there.. Harry seen the light and approachable when he was in Kuching.. People who revolves around him, noticed him, and even complimented him from times to times.. He began to felt blessed and tried to be strong (spiritually).. Because of Harry's dreadful past, he tried to help a lot of weaklings and even try to lend them his wings and to cover them whenever necessary..

Harry, eventually, got recognized in the school and became the head prefect in the school.. (there were, of course, few to name that hated Harry as well..).. However, Harry's friend in Kuching delighted him from time to time and he made it through successful through his high school year..

Because of the story above, it inspired Harry to stay strong.. and help those who needed a hand.. Looking at people being bullied reminds me of my past.. But heck.. I am not the old me anymore.. I can't help myself to stop helping them especially they were fallen.. I guess, lending a hand, helping them do help them realize that the world is not as dark as they think.. They will, perhaps, be stronger and won't follow the wrong route..

Thanks to that Mr. JJJ, I am not the weakling anymore.. In fact, I had proved that I can do far far better than what I used to be.. But due to that incidence, bad childhood, I kept forgetting things easily.. Perhaps, it's like what people always said, we try to forget what's painful to us.. To let it go..

I had finally found myself

All this while, I kept thinking of what makes me what I am right now and even trying to understand myself.. I will always ask around to try understand myself.. but all this while, the answer I got is "Harry is too random.. Hard to understand la.." which of course, got me clueless for finding my true self out..

And officially, by today, 17th November 2008, I found out who I am now.. It's hard to believe that I did it!!

Well, actually, I do think that my mother do understand me a lot though as she is the one who I always make my complains to and she is the one who is always by my side when I am down.. She's very very protective.. Whenever, I'm being bullied, she'll be like saying angrily to me, "Who is the ~~bastard~~ chao kia who bullied my son?" and I will like "Oh my god! Don't go and scold them because of this.. I'm big/old enough already.." (Of course, I scare people will start thinking how weak I am if my mother really does that..)

Ma, if you are reading this, "Kam siah lu.. I LOVE YOU!!" which means "Thank you" in Hokkien.. and of course, my father who always tries to maintain my mother's anger helped a lot.. At least, that stop my mother from defending me in front of others.. My father will say that, "Haiya.. kids matter let them settle themselves la.."

Hehe... Pa, am I right? If you are also reading this, I also wanna say, "Kam siah" to you.. Your son is extremely happy today for being able to understand himself after so long.. and of course, special thanks to Yuni, his girlfriend made him realise that..

and to my dear Yuni, if it wasn't because of the argument, I won't be able to realise myself and I.. Oh.. and don't you guys dare to laugh Harry arguing with his darling.. It's a process of greater bond in a relationship.. If you havent argue/fight with your girlfriend/boyfriend/gayfriend/lesfriend/husband/wife, it's time to do so.. It's the process of understanding each other and throw out the feelings!! If you comment something about my girlfriend, I will delete it permanently and blacklist you and smash you into pieces when I see you.. literally..

Whoa.. Ok.. back to the original topic.. "YAY!! I FOUND MYSELF!!" Many of my friends around me don't really know my background and who I am when I am small.. It may find hard to believe it but that's who I am when I am very very young cute chubby little child.. Even my parents, up till now, may not remember what happened to me back then when I was that lovely kid..

A lot of time, we'll see these two words appear everywhere, regardless from the email or from speeches..

Satisfaction and Appreciation

So, what's so great about these two words?! They ain't a big word to most of us, but to certain people, it matters a lot.. To me, both the words played an important role in my life or even in the process of growing up..

I'm not the boy that I'm used to be when I was a kid, and yet, I am not total man yet.. Considering myself as a half man here, things can be distracting and dilemma often occurs in life..

So how does this two words played their role in my life?!

Humans are never SATISFY with whatever things they do or they have.. When you relate it with the "satisfaction", you got the word "appreciation".. Humans "seldom" appreciate with what they have and what others did to them..

Now, problems like this often occur in a family or with friends when they asked from you for more even if you are at your limit.. I certainly think that all of us, humans, have our own limit in anything we do.. Some people were granted or gifted by their talent at doing their things "well" but that doesn't mean that they can do their things "perfect"..

There's no such things as perfect in this world.. If you think that you are Mr./Mrs./Mdm./It. Perfect, I wont argue further on that.. The point is, no one is perfect in this world.. Each of us has our own weaknesses, depending how showy it is to the others.. Some evil people do take for granted on some other's weaknesses..

I mean, com' on, those above have nothing related to satisfaction/appreciation huh?! I do think that both satisfaction/appreciation bond things up quite well, just that we never realize that, they played an important role on us..

Are you satisfy with yourself?! Your physical look? Your health? Your everything?! If you are saying that you do, you must be lying.. Even for me, I am not quite satisfied with who and what I am right now.. But what to do?! Life goes on.. Why do you have to let all this single bit of details bother you and ruin your life?!

Talking about satisfaction, now, take a moment to think.. Does people around you appreciates you?! Appreciates what you'd done to them, how much you improved yourself just to fit them well?! How about yourself? Do you appreciate them too? Most of the time, we easily forget people good deeds.. We tempt to neglect their strength point and looking at the weaknesses only..

Things like this frequently happen to a newly-married couple.. They started to realize that their dearest one ain't as good as they think.. And they started to point out the weaknesses and forgotten what are they strength point..

Why do we have to be so pessimistic? Why can we just a bit more optimistic? Instead of thinking how bad they are and what their weaknesses are, can't we even think that, perhaps, their weaknesses could be their strength point too?!

We should learn how to appreciate people around us and try to be at least satisfy with them.. When we keep on desiring it, we'll be losing it at no time..

I'm not particular with what the people around me can do for me or even how they look.. They pretty or not, fugly or not, it doesn't matter to me at all.. What matters to me a lot is they appreciate me and have faith with me..

When we are optimistic, it doesn't mean that we careless for them.. Just that, we try to make the world bigger.. Think outside the box instead of trapping our thoughts in a small box.. It doesn't have to be a bad thing to be insensible.. Optimistic tempt to be a bit insensible, but not selfish..

Perhaps, it's time for you to show how much you care for the others and how much you appreciates them.. Instead of desiring more from them, asking more from them, why don't you do more to them?

Like I said all the times, what goes around, comes around.. We do good deeds not to show how good we are, but we appreciate that life is not a game.. There's no reset but GAME OVER.. Why do you expect people to return your "deed" so much that you even forgot that good deeds are actually from the bottom of our heart.. It's about sincerity..

So to all my friend, my love ones, my family.. I do not see you all as something that hold me back in my life.. I really appreciate with you all.. and in fact, I am do not desire much from you all.. However, there's always a limit for everything.. Step over the line means game over for you and me.. I love you all and will always remember of you all (even though I am a forgetful person).. I just hope that. perhaps, it's time for you to do the same thing to me.. It's time for you to change and not only seeing Harry's evolution or changes..

Learn Pronunciation through Human Organ

Was in a midst of struggling through my examination and currently studying Mathematics For Computing which are rather practical than theory wise..

Something funny came out while I filter through all the student notes that were given by my Maths lecturer (last minute study).. In the ~~junk~~ pile of ~~useless~~ student notes, there are one of this chapters which makes me laugh since last time up till now..

Sometimes, it's rather funny to receive such thing from the lecturer itself.. Wondering what I am talking about?! Curious about it?! I'll show you about it in a short while..

All the terms, especially the scientific and computerized terms, are rather difficult to pronounce not to say even harder to memorize.. However, through some techniques, we can learn to pronounce fast and even memorize it faster.. As the title said, "Learn Pronunciation through Human Organ"..

So, how do we imply this technique in our daily student notes or even own made notes?!

Look at the example below..

EBCDIC which is also known as "Extended Binary Coded Decimal Interchange Code" can be pronounced as "EBB-SEE-DICK".. I know, it's like WTF?!! EBB-SEE-DICK?! It makes you easier to memorize isn't it? When you think of "Dick" and you'll remember what's EBCDIC..

Well, to enhance the visual technique.. I even thought of something such as "APE-SEE-DICK".. Since EBB and APE has the same pronunciation..

So, all you have to do is to remember an APE see a DICK and you'll remember this term..

Next up, we have ASCII-8 which is also known as American Standard Code for Information Interchange that can be pronounced as "ASS KEY".. Oh my GOSH!! What the hell is this ASS-KEY?!! I laughed till I dropped lah!!

All you have to do is to picture an ASS shaped key and you'll get ASCII eventually..

I believe these are the notes written by his students..

Had a good laugh?! I hope you did 'cause I really laughed till cannot study now..

I think I gotta rush now.. If I still don't practice on this Maths, I won't be able to score "ASS" for this semester..

Nokia Nuffnang Silent Halloween Rocks

After sometimes, Harry, once again, fell asleep again and had another ~~wet~~ weird dream.. Remembering the last time, he dreamt becoming a vampire.. This time, the dream became more realistic and featured more earthlings who became ghost, undead, or even monster..

Everything began with an image of the banner below.. "Nuffnang Nokia Silent Halloween"..

Image of the pumpkin reminds him of his plushy which he fell asleep on last time.. All in a sudden, he got shocked by his own appearance which took in form as a vampire.. This time, it aint like the previous dream..

It's more realistic with larger canines and deadly pal face than the last dream that he had last time..

Along with his appearance, he joined the hollow gathering party.. And he met few of his companion.. Looks like he is not the only one who transformed into an undead..

The skulled captain hook aka RoyalShortness, weird politician, Dr. Blackjack aka Simon and Dr. Evil aka Nicholas Chay, Mummy aka Robb, Joker aka Cojack and Paris Hilton aka Rui, the ancient Egyptian princess, Ying and Yang couple aka baynn-diese, mutated Transformer aka superwilson with short height, and an undead Bruce Lee aka Shaolin tiger which got a little more cute..

Looking at those who had their partners, Harry the vampire also went looking around for someone who can be his compatible partner.. and then.. he found his beloved partner who sat at a corner sobbing about her appearance.. Asking her to join along for the party cherish both of them..

Harry was thinking that this girl will be his perfect match as she had the same color like he had.. and with an interesting outfit.. and the girl's name is Yuni..

And so, as usual, even if Harry is in his dream, he still can't quit his habit of camwhoring..

To Harry's surprise, he found PowerNuff Girls at the gathering doing the registration for the hollow beings.. According to some information he got, the PowerNuff Girls were actually from a fine country with the beautiful name called "Singapore"..

Without any second thought, Harry went to the PowerNuff Girls and got his name and his partner's name registered in the "I'm-So-Dead" list..

Harry threw all his "weird" feeling away and blend perfectly well with all the immortals and hollow beings together... Looking at the Angels and Devils made him wonder where was him at the moment..

Was him at the hell or heaven?! Harry made an assumption that he got left behind at the earth as he is neither at the hell or heaven..

Looked like Harry had to enter the "Gate of Death" in order to get himself a Hollow-Nanged Gathering Party.. Time flew swiftly.. As the sun was setting.. More and more beings had their name registered in the "I'm-So-Dead" list..

Harry, once again, felt glad that he was not alone.. He had so many hollow beings waiting him to enter the "Borneo Baruk Club" from the other side of the "Gate of Death"..

Without hesitation, Harry entered the gate, without hesitation, hand-in-hand with his partner.. Harry, then, heard that a lot of the undead "Nuffies" were still ~~naked~~ undressed.. and so he peeped at their ~~naked body~~ dresses and try to fit on them..

Unfortunately, all the costume could not fit him well, so he decided to leave the dresses to those Nuffies and proceed to the gathering.. and he met few more ghoul, hollow beings, human..

~~Anonymous~~ Firdauz, Boss Tim, ~~Deadly Swan~~ Bjork, Sharlyn, Harry, Parui Hilton, Diese, Dr. Cheez and Anonymous..

Harry got all fired up when he saw "Elvis the undead" doing the talk on the stage just like what he did long long time ago.. He brought up the atmosphere and you could actually heard the hollow beings howling loudly..

And the event started with the Leader of all hollow beings, Boss Tim aka the dead Kurt Cobain speech.. It was a freaking fast and short speech.. Harry made a guess that the leader tried to let his fellow hollow beings enjoy as much as possible as the time for them to be together is like once a year only in their transformed form..

After the short speech, the whole event started to go chaos with the sweet melody from one of the Indie band which was from the Nokia Independent Artist Club (IAC)..

Alaling and the Kaya Koks

After those singing.. Elvis brought in another game.. namely.. "search for the listed beings"..

and so.. Darkened Michael Jackson aka Kenny Sia, Dr. Evil aka Nicholas Chay, Marilyn Monroe aka Ringo, and Succubus aka Kimberly Cun were given this deadly task to hunt down the hollow beings that were listed by the Elvis..

They had to find Jason, Vampire, the Joker, Scream, Hitler, Phantom of Opera and two more forgotten hollow beings.. (Harry was drunk in his dream..)

and so.. the hunt began..

and Marilyn Monroe found Harry (the Vampire, of course..)..

And so.. Elvis double check with his list for the hunted down beings.. and yes.. Harry was in the list of Vampire too..

What's unbelievable?! These hollow beings actually ate humans' foods.. Well, perhaps, there were some reasons why them, the hollow beings, landed on earth..

After feasting for the dead and undead.. The ghoul and hollow beings were entertained by anothe Indie human hip hop group..

Dose 2.. They did a fair job on the stage and got the whole floor SHAKING!!

After overdose with the musics, the dead and undead beings were gathered once again and were grouped into groups of five.. They were ordered to mummified themselves in order get crowned..

Of course, Harry did not miss the fun... He formed a group together with Sherry, PaRui Hilton, Bernard, and one more anonymous and got ~~rapped~~ wrapped up..

Harry could not really breathe properly while mummified.. grasping for air.. breath in deeply.. and was waiting for people to save him and to unwrap him..

While waiting for people to unwrap him.. There were some other event going on.. BALLOON WAR!!

Basically, they blow ~~job~~ the balloons and burst it again.. and of course, burst someone else's balloon in order to win.. Harry got lucky.. there were two ladies who unwrapped him in the midst of the balloon war.. and finally he can breath again.. Thanks to the ladies..

Here comes the peak of the events.. Silent Halloween will not be named as "Shhhh.. Silent" if there's no silent dance.. It started with a loud speaker music by Nicky C.. and then everyone went silent and took out their listening device (MP3, Mobile phone, and all type of Pods).. Modernized world.. Even the dark world also owned various gadgets..

Everyone started shaking silently.. It's exactly the dead man dance.. and Harry started doing his deadly dance move with his partner..

And to Harry's fear.. He saw something which was an instant kill..

Uh-oh! Looks like ~~Paris~~ Parui Hilton forgot to shave before doing his/her/it's sexy dance move..

Harry enjoyed the dancing very much.. Even though it's a silent dance.. Only those who did not listen to the music will laugh as they did not know what happened to those who dance silently.. Only tipping toe and laughter filled in the environment during the silent move..

After those silent dancing.. Harry got entertained again by another Indie human band group.. D 40 Winks.. They had all instruments with them.. from blowing to hitting, hitting to striking..

Pretty much entertained.. Elvis brought us up to another level.. the Award presenting time..

Nigel the pre-event post winner..

The dancing king and dancing queen.. Best Silent Dancer winner..

The next best thing got Harry laughed and rolled on the floor..

the Halloween band..

Even all those ghoul, dead and undead, and hollow beings also auditioned for an Indie band.. Looks like they did not want to lose to the earthlings.. And so they did.. and the best costume award was presented after that..

The runner ups.. The Satan (Male category) and Slutty Nurse (Female category)

The grand costume winner.. Parui Hilton (Female category) and Skulled Captain Hook (Male category)..

Event ended after the award ceremony.. However, Harry found some others with interesting make up too..

Slit-mouthed lady, scary Freddy with hour glass, the twin dead sisters..

Two Kurt Cobains.. One undead and another dead..

One-eyed mummy, and Mummy aka Hikaru with the Lustful Goddess aka Sherry

That's not all.. after meeting and all the gathering.. Harry continued dreamt that there was another haunting event, took place in the KL city, by the ghouls and hollow beings..

This time, the dream was not as sweet as previous occurrence..

The undead tried to scare the earthlings..

and even haunted the basement..

Knowing it's an unpleasant dream.. Harry tried to wake up from this nightmare.. but looks like he can never wake up anymore and trapped in this dreadful world with his partner forever..

After the event, I had lost all the Halloween photos and his 1 month remembrance memory photos with his beloved phone, Nokia N82.. You may check what happened to it at my previous post about my phone.. Therefore, he had to leech and steal the photos from everywhere..

Short Post: Unsettled

I've finally cleared all my ~~ass~~ assignments and successfully submitting them to all my lecturers.. It was a busy for last week and this week.. and a lot of things had happened.. Check out this and this and you'll know what I mean by "a lot" of things had happened..

However, things felt quite unsettled yet since the day I lost my beloved mobile phone.. Yes! I couldn't deny that I still can't get over with it.. with what happened to my phone.. but it of course, doesn't hold me back from continue my life.. Everything that happened is not coincidence but inevitable..

I still have a lot of things to update in this blog.. About the Halloween, my life (a bit), and also lately the movie screening that I attended last Tuesday..

Oh, by the way, I am now looking around for the price of Nokia N82 the original set or the AP set.. I can't find a cheaper price for the original set of RM1800++ but I still havent go for the AP set.. IF you have any "kang tao" (literally means business), do let me know..

The day Harry's beloved mobile phone lost

It's been a while I used my Nokia N82.. and I never really introduce my Nokia N82 before.. I guess today is the day.. the memorable day of it..

It has been with me since half year ago.. and yesterday, 3rd November 2008, it is officially declared disappeared from my life.. I guess mistakes do happen all the time..

I got my phone from a talent competition, namely "iTalentStar".. Ever since that time, it has been with me all this while.. until yesterday.. My phone and I went through a lot of places.. taking tonnes of memorable pictures.. went through lots of high and low by TEXT-ing my friends..

The above picture was taken on the day I received my prize from iTalentStar which dated back at 21st April 2008..

It came with bundle of stuffs.. Some of them I used it and some have not.. Never really fully utilize it before.. And of course, these picture was taken using the phone itself N82..

Life changed a lot ever since I had my N82.. Taking clear picture is without a doubt with 5 megapixels some more.. How breathtaking..

The latest happiest moment was at the Nokia Nuffnang Silent Halloween Party..

I still can't accept the fact that my phone has lost now.. I try to take a nap a while ago just now.. and I even dreamt about it.. How pathetic I was.. Since it's lost.. it's GONE!

Nothing is coincidence but inevitable..

How it happened?!

It slipped out from my wide-open pocket from my formal black pants without even realizing it while I was having lunch with my friends at my university, Limkokwing University's plaza at about 1++pm..

The bad thing was.. I didnt realize it's gone until i finish one of my class session at 3++pm.. I tried my very best to search around but it's nowhere to be seen already.. All I can do is to put a little hope.. Pasting notice all around the campus with title "MISSING PHONE"..

To my surprise, there's this lady came to me and talked to me about this phone.. She told me she saw someone took the phone around and ask if it belongs to them.. That fellow who took my phone was an African judging from his appearance by the lady.. She added, "He mentioned that that phone belongs to a China man".. And apparently, I am the "China man" he was referring..

If I could have turn back time, none of this will happen anymore.. I'll have to be extra careful next time..

It's not about how much the phone cost.. as the biggest lost are those memorable pictures and information in my phone..

So guys, one piece of advice for you.. Don't just check the table while you leave the place.. Check your seats as well..

To my phone, I wish I could have be a better owner.. I'm sorry my dear phone.. and I'll like to thanks everyone who had gave me a little push and supports to make me move on especially my girlfriend who accompanied me to fight through the tough time.. and put up a smile on my face.. It wont hold me back just because of this things happens..

Short Post: Back from Nuffnang Halloween Party

Lately, caught up with assignments and a bit sick.. *flu flu*.. Some more I had a lot of sleepless nights in a row.. That makes me kinda "DEAD" (literally).. Tired.. Stress.. and a lot of thoughts threw into my mind..

My exam is just around the corner like everyone does.. And after 3 more weeks, I am going BACK to KUCHING!! YAY!!

Pass exam with Dignity.. Even if..

Well, a lot of peoples around me are either doing their exams currently or preparing for it.. As for me.. Hell ya!! NOT-SO-PREPARED with the exams yet.. Assignment still piling up.. gosh!!

Anyway, received this mail from my friend.. saying how to pass exams with dignity.. When you don't know how to answer a question, don't just leave it blank.. Fill it with something, and perhaps, you'll make your name in the Internet!

Well, for those who are studying hard to memorize stuffs, com' on man.. time to distress a while..

When you don't know how to answer some questions..

and being asked to explain why.. Just answer "God made it that way"

and when you are clueless how to explain, try drawing something on it to explain it..

and when the question involve human and gender, you could try something like "She's a woman" (for proving female is ~~always~~ wrong, I perhaps?)

and if there's some keyword in the question, it might lead you to the answer such as "bond" to "James Bond"

and sometimes, you may need to think outside the box, you might probably get it..
For instance, the question asked "He thought he had a good idea, but his boss fired him. Explain."
You might want to be smart, try to answer creatively, "because he slept with his boss's wife"

Got the idea how to answer your exam paper already?! If you do, don't thank me.. If you don't and feeling like killing someone, go look for your lecturer/teacher.. (nah.. Just joking.. If you kill them, you can't even answer as creative as what I've shared with you..)

Recycle Hair band using Condoms

My first reaction might be like yours "WTF?!" Like this also can ah?! I can't even imagine how "creative" people is until using used condoms to recycle it as Hair Band in China..

Few days back, I received this mail from my sister.. When I see the mail title, I was like uh-oh, another thing from China again.. Actually, it's not about how creative they are.. but how HYGIENIC they are..

Imagine people who had AIDS (HIV Positive) used the condoms and people re-used the condoms as their hair bands?! Will you even buy it if you know the truth?! They are some reason why they manage to sell it at such a low price.. Collecting condoms couldn't be hard enough when you visit Hotels' trash bin..

According to my foster brother, who currently work in one of the Hotel in KK, he told me that it's very normal for them to see condoms in the trash bin every time they clean the room.. In fact, they are sick of it already..

I am not asking you to go and cut your hair band now.. I am just trying to warn all of you how dirty a hair band can be.. Don't even try to put it in your mouth or even bite it.. You won't know what's inside until you cut it out!!

Theory of RM25 for a family

We'd always see in the movie that how people neglected their family over their overwhelming work for the money which, of course, to support their family.. Personally, I do think that I am personally a workaholic.. I understand how someone can work over time for money to support the family and just how a workaholic is..

However, I am not the type that 24/7 WORK WORK WORK.. I know there's someone out there who cares for me.. Actually.. computer itself has pretty much "work" for me to do, even though I am still a university student.. I BLOG, I chat, I play, I manage my online radio company (iStream), I do my assignment and I learn using my computer.. So, try to imagine that now.. How much time could I use just for my computer.. Not to forget, watching MOVIES and ANIMES also part of my computer work..(Sounded more like an excuses ain't it?)

Well, something that is different about me is.. I must work hard for my better future.. I'm still young and still have a long road to walk (if God let me stay on earth longer).. we won't know what's ahead us.. but we can shape the future by start drawing it now..

It's just not the right to neglect your family even though MONEY IS VERY IMPORTANT in this materialistic world.. I do see a lot of similar case like this which normally caused family conflict.. This thing mostly happen to family that are wealthy (or rich in short).. As they got richer and richer, all the excuses given were similar..

"I WORK SO HARD JUST TO MAKE YOU GUYS LIVE WELL, EAT WELL, PLAY WELL"..

Sounds familiar to you?! If your parent are those workaholic type.. show them this story.. Let them know what's more important..

An inspiring story of RM25

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make RM50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow RM25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that RM25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the RM25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

After reading this story, I weep a while.. and I keep telling myself now.. must not OVERDO my work.. We can't buy our family.. but we can always work for money..

Don't let your work OWN you.. but to OWN your work!!

Harry's Vampire Transformation

From my previous silent Halloween post, I'd talked about the transformation of Harry to a Vampire..

Wonder how I did it?! Like my big eye and long teeth?!

I only used few tools in Photoshop to edit my face only.. It's as easy as 1-2-3..

Few things that you need to prepare with yourself is:
1. to be familiar with adobe Photoshop
2. master the liquefy skill
3. to know how to manipulate color with contrast, color depth, filter etc.

Let's see how Harry is going to transform in detail and in few steps..

First.. Using the most powerful that even XiaXue used it.. THE LIQUIFY TOOL..

I'd using various size of the liquefy tool to liquefy my nose and my teeth.. Do notice that my nose became a lot smaller and my canines became much more longer.. (ya.. ya.. my teeth a bit yellow.. just to add-on some effect on it what..)

After liquefied the nose and the canine.. The next thing to make it looks more creepy will be the EYES!! I like vampires with big eyes and thicker eyebrows.. (Handsome ain' it?! Hah..)

Notice the changes from the small eye and thin eyebrow to a bigger, thicker and scarier eye and eyebrow.. Need a bit of magic to pull the eye a bit..

After finished LIQUEFYing, next up, I did a bit of contrasting to the colour and also set the brightness of the red colour to make my lips looks more BLOODY (okay.. I know it's not that bloody, but it's red-er ok?!)

After changing the colour, I am still not so satisfy with the effect.. So I pulled my ear longer.. and thinner.. Notice the difference yet?! Vampire has ears that looks like bat.. So, I had to make the ear sharper and longer..

After editing the ear and everything, time to do a bit of make up the to face.. Well, basic tool is you need foundation powder and some shiny lipstick.. Okay.. I'm just joking.. I'd try to paint some normal skin colour on those PIMPLES and some patches that doesn't seem to be normal enough.. and after clearing those pimples, I redo the brightness and contrast setting to make my face a bit pale..

And .. so.. Tada~~ that's my complete edit on my vampire face..

Also, special thanks to Caney for helping me to edit my eye colour using blending option (which I don't have on my outdated Photoshop) to make it a bit red and fiery.. and she did it..
